I thought it was real up until the point she has her brother in the center of the labyrinth while talking to the faun, and the captain walks up. The camera pans behind him, showing her talking to nothing while she's having that conversation with the faun.
I think only she could see them, since she was "from there", and the Captain wasn't. Were we seeing that scene through his eyes?
It was real to her, that's the point. Real enough, anyway.
For anyone to give more than 2/10 to Ghostrider? I'll just have to say it's a parody post. B/c no one would believe you otherwise.

Ooh, it was really good. I was lucky it just happened to be on TV, it's so hard to find non-mainstream movies in my crappy video stores.
Good plot, excellent actors, expert cinematography, five stars. If I were going to be picky I'd say that because it started out with such intensity and went for so long it lost some of its momentum in the second half, but that's down to the nature of the story it was trying to tell, I was so into it I didn't care. Good stuff.
Mmm, octopus.
