sorry if i spoiled anything for you. a radio station in my area gave away tickets to a prescreening and they ruined a bunch of little things for me.

oh, a buddy of mine lent me this great piece of Australian cinema. have you seen it? i haven't watched the whole thing yet, i got to the part where the guy is punching the zombie fish out of their mid-air leap attacks and didnt want to miss out on anything (was about to fall asleep) so i turned it off. i'll finish it tonight and give my review of it if anyone's interested.

I saw the Fall of the House of Usher the other day, it was pretty good. Bit of a slow start but still solid.

Synopsis - awesome x 2

Review - I had low expectations for Planet Terror and wow was it great. Biehn and Savini were awesome, everyone in it was, and Rodriguez really was about as silly as he can be; tons of fun. Nicotero and Berger always get it done, fantastic effects.

Death Proof was very very different, and I really don't want to say anything about it, too much risk of spoilerizings, but I enjoyed it. This movie was a genre that can be difficult to do well but it was pulled off I thought. It was all about the setup, and the setup was beautiful to the point that the payoff was almost an afterthought.

Does Savini have quite a bit of screen time?

about as much as in Dusk til Dawn, enough for fans to appreciate but he's a minor character so he doesn't figure in as prominently as Biehn or Rodriguez or McGowan of course

I heard it was a really disgusting movie gore-wise. Is it sickening gore or is it more like Dead Alive where it is comedic to watch? I do not enjoy truly sickening images in movies that I watch but I can appreciate mindless violent fun.
