Destruction on a zealot?

I was browsing the runeword list on the AS and found destruction, one of the runewords i've never used and never seen to be used. Does anyone have any experience with this runeword on a zealot? Seems like it could be fun combining this with a phoenix shield on a conviction zealot and seeing all the CtC's going off.

Destruction eh? I have experience with that weapon on my zealer Lvl 77. Msg Back If you want to know more about its details in Pvp and Pvm. ^^ :wink3:

I'd be interested in knowing how you found it for a pvm char.

Started making him, level 20 atm, i'll need to leech up untill level 65 so that should be a huge barrel of laughs untill then :undecided: .
Skills will be the standard zealot setup except maxed conviction rather than fanaticism.
gear will be:
Destruction PB
Highlords amu
Kiras circlet
CoH armour (though a dragon would be fun)
Phoenix sacred targe
Dracs
Raven/other ring
Gores

I'll use an act1 faith merc to hit the last zeal bp.

All those CtC's look like a lot of fun:
23% Chance To Cast Level 12 Volcano On Striking
5% Chance To Cast Level 23 Molten Boulder On Striking
15% Chance To Cast Level 22 Nova On Attack
40% Chance To Cast Level 22 Firestorm On Striking
+ firestorm from torch.

Now i just need to go and leech some more.

Edit: and if i come up against fire immunes i could always switch to a Voice of Reason PB for more CtC goodies.

Hit level 65 earlier today where i equipped my destruction pb and phoenix shield and gave my merc the faith bow, all i have to say is, swett f-ing holy bajeebus this pala cut through nm baals. I could solo all the waves of minions in an 8 player game, the fireworks were great fun and everything just rolled over and died. got him into hell at level 71 whereupon he was kicking arse, more experimentation needs to be done.

Interesting to read. My zealot is totally stripped at the moment and i just want to make him more fun. Destruction sounds like a cool way to go about this. I have a couple 5 os phases lying around, i'll probably make one and see how it goes. Though i might just hit the grief phases again. Doh.

Well I'd say destruction is a very nice weapon when it comes to PvM and sometimes in PvP. All the magic damage and elemental damage with its CB and Phase Blade very fast attack speed is pretty GG. I can solo hell chaos with my destruction on and pheniox sheild unless if someone Iron Madien's me -_-. -EsX (Asamiya) ;O

I will say Astreon's win destruction pb if we are talking about CB and magic damage =X
But I must admit destruction pb got the speed.
BTW I like Athena too =)

hey man, all zealots should be able to solo hell chaos unless IM'ed

destruction sounds really cool
im now itching to get a 5 os pb and try it out
found me a 55 ed 109 ar shield to make phoenix in too

how're you doing in hell baal though?
the fire immunes there seem to cut right down on your effectiveness
