Howdy everyone. I am a new face around here but I have been surfing this forum as a valuable source of statistic and trade value info for some time. I have learned a lot about synergies and builds and have experiemented with the great fun that is a shapeshift druid.
I build my flaming rabies druid on nonladder west, and learned a lot from the experience that I may use to tweek and make a new one on ladder. My idea is not a hard and fast build per say, but an idea. Lemme know what you guys think! :grin:
The idea is to look cool and also be as effective as possible in pvp.
The skill setup is dependent on your equipment of choice, but with my limited income, my equipment was as follows...
Doom Zerk axe
Bramble Wire fleece
on switch- 16/16 psn facet monarch+plague barrer
torch+some plain ss gcs
Now origionally I was building for fireclaw+synergies and rabies+synergies. Rabies worked like a charm but Fireclaw left something to be desired in pvp when a wolf, with the gear I had available. So, I altered my build to include Armagedon for coolness. Now I know there is a build on here about including armagedon in a flamingrabies build, but my idea alters that a little.
The idea is, fireclaw is too slow and not strong enough when used as a hybrid. So...a lot of the synergies for the ctc fire skills on the druid torch (firestorm) and doom (volcano), are also synergies of fireclaw and Armagedon. These synergies are fissure and molton bolder.
The idea is, max rabies+poison creeper. Put just one point in heart of the oak, lycanthropy and get one point of fury. Then seed all of the skills up to Armagedon, and pump 10+points into molton bolder and fissure. Another 10+points into Armegedon. The rest of your points, (you have only used about 80 thus far), can go to pump furry or fireclaw or Armagedon and synergies to strengthen its damage.
Dooms freeze will slow down most malee oponents, allowing for rabies strikes. Armagedon adds damage that, at 30+points into it and synergies, will supprise a few people. Ctc Volcano and firestorm should add substantial damage because of the synergies to those skills, in combination with fury or fireclaw. With a lot of fast run/walk, you will be a formidable force, with walking holy freeze/armagedon + a sugnificant malee threat with rabies and phys damage.
Low life. You could prolly reach 2k+life however, even with 1 pt in oak.
A slower fury/fireclaw with doom.
Lower pure damage then fury/rabies, or pure fireclaw.
Fighting Chargers is a real problem. As is hammerdins and Bonemancers.
Adaptablility. You will do Phys/Poison/Fire damage, while slowing oponents and Armagdon will kill rabied people all the faster.
Cool factor+++ with Ctc skills doing actual damage, and the visual effects of Rabies/Armagedon/casting Wolf/Doom
PvM viability with 3 types of damage, and croud control.
Let me know what you guys think! This isnt really a build. Just an idea to combine Ctc skill with an emphasis on rabies and armagedon, insted of a slower fireclaw attack. Fury is just an afterthought.
