    My bnet is stuck online...

I was in a game on bnet when Diablo II LoD crashed. I booted up the game again clicked on battlenet and it said that my cd was in use by myself. I waited a few hours hoping bnet would sign off my account seeing that it was not receiving any data from me. This did not work. I'm pretty sure no one stole my key in a space of 2 minutes after a crash. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Try disconnecting whatever connection you have to the net, should be in Start>Settings>Control Panel>Network Connections. Then re connect. That'll sever any connection your computer has with Bnet. Also, you try restarting after that if it doesn't work.

You most likely have a copy of d2 running in the background that doesn't show up. Sometimes when the game crashes, it doesn't completely close itself. You *are* still logged on.

Press ctrl-alt-delete and check all processes running. Your d2 most likely is one of them. Now mark it and close it.

That does the trick for me.

(That other trick probably works too, but this one also frees up a little bit of your cpu) :azn:

You're a little late on that one.
