Cause of demise: Wave two of Baal's Minions, my War Cry stun wore off and one of the mummies resurrected an Oblivion Knight mid-whirl. He IMed me and I was dead before I finished my WW. Moral of the story -- don't do Baal runs with a Barb unless you have a safe, efficient way of dealing with wave two.

Cause of demise: I was somehow confident of my ability to teleport through the WSK sans stacked resists (idiot) and hit a manaburn/conviction burning soul pack right at the waypoint. Bzzt bzzt and everything went down the drain, the past 4 weeks of developing this character (and with him, all my "wealth", including a 2 paladin 18 damage reduction amulet which I will miss forever... 15/18 paladin torch, 13/18/10 annihilus, ptopazed Harlequin Crest, Enigma Mage Plate, *perfect* 45 all resist 35fcr Akaran Targe, Hotspurs, Dwarf Star, Perfect Nagelring, Magefists, 37% res Heart of the Oak, 39% Gheed's Charm).

Cause of Demise: My untwinked Fire/Summon Druid was crushing everything in SP (players8). I had been lucky with drops (2 fissure, 2 os pelt!) and was feeling confident going into Diablo's lair...
I cleaned up all the Seals and even had a mana regen shrine nearby for the big battle. It was easy at first, D was just sitting there ice-fisting a few of my wolves (which I resummoned) while I volcano'd him and my merc nailed him. Then he started using that LBOD again and again. All my minions died and he zapped my oak. Merc bit the dust. I resummoned and proceeded to keep him bottled up. A few fire novas later he had busted out, killing all minions but my bear. And here is where it went bad...I had just volcano'd him[4 second delay] from the edge of the screen when slam(!) the bone prison went up around me! Diablo name lock! Time froze for a second as I realized the implications of this...and watched Diablo charge at me...my bear valiantly tried to get in his way and even managed to swing at him, while I tried to hack my way out of the prison using Sander's wand...D stops right when he gets to me and decides, of ALL the attacks he has, to use the LBOD.
I hit a red pot, then as I saw the bottom dropping out of my health, hit a full juve. No dice. Deeds.
So...it seems Diablo is gg. Prison from off screen, charge, LBOD all in the span of about 1 second...
Losses: nothing really, except my pride. Dead in normal. Oh and sander's wand

Cause of demise: Small child. Was holding my daughter while playing and had just left the city w/o summons and decided to check something on my LCS. Daughter hit the escape button as I got rushed by a monster horde. Couldn't hit the purple since the escape & save screen was on and tried to balance daughter at the same time as saving and couldn't move fast enough as daughter was quickly hitting buttons at the same time. Moral of story: Diablo & small children don't mix.

Cause of demise:woke up, thought id try some hell mf runs seeing as i had just got my shako and enigma and was tired of nm runs... buddy had warned me of hell tower, but it diddnt cross me mind..
i killed me way through to tower lvl 5, but when i entered i was confronted at the entrance by a fast/might clan group, and i was slain before i knew what happened. when i heard that scream, i thought i was dreaming.. but once i realized what happened, i felt this real sickly pain throughout my body as i moaned in frustration - now back to angelics set:embarassed:

She died in 3-4 sec, hit, juv, hit, juv, deeds. Not a lot lost, but I realized again why I don't play Sorcs. If you aren't really intrerested in playing them, don't bother. They just aren't my style.
