My boss wants to get a new FPS (other than Call of Duty) for lunch time gaming.
He wants a quality game that can be played on our LAN, but he only wants to buy one copy so I need suggestions on what to get that will work with 6 people and only need one copy for our office.
thanks
oh I should add he wants a quality game with 'real' weapons no scifi type stuff, he's not into that.
I was going to suggest unreal tournament, until you said "only real weapons". I guess biorifles, explosive spinning blades, laser guns, and things like that, just aren't all that real.
I dont know if he wants real weapons and isnt Call of Duty. Counterstrike sucks if you ask me.
Maybe SWAT 3? I only played the demo of 4 and they seemed to take out alot from the third game, such as being able to calm down the suspects verbally and stuff. Try SWAT 3.
counterstrike may be outdated but it is a classic.
we already have COD2 as our current daily player, and we have all reached the point where it just isn't that exciting anymore, even with the little mods we've added and user created maps the game reached it's peak about 2 months ago.
I thought about Splinter Cell but don't know if we need a copy for every player or if we can load it on multiple computers and still play on our LAN. I know COD2 won't allow multiple users online but works on our LAN.
Is 'FEAR' scifi or is it more "real"?
any other options are welcome and we can go take a look at fans sites I just don't know what FPS games are out there.
looks like swat is out, it's team based only and we want deathmatch or free-for-all
I suggest paintball guns and a forest.
Your boss wants to buy games for the company? Where do you work foo!
this would be a good choice if we were willing to extend lunch but since we aren't we need a computer based killing game.
I work at a company that designs (my job) and builds production tools for the auto industry and the big truck industry and a tiny bit of the aerospace industry.
Oh and it looks like Splinter Cell is also team based only
