Sure, I don't see why not.
High damage, plus lower resists (conviction, etc), static field, and Prevent Monster Heal should do it. Try your best to keep the merc alive. When Prevent Monster Heal is active, you can even go to town for a short healing break, before fighting again.

PMH does not work on mercs, so you'd have to hit DC with a Mal socketed tal's orb if you insist on doing it with a talsorc.

It should be. The DC is not immune to cold, so cold mastery (and other lower cold resist sources) will lower its cold resist at full efficiency, making the blizz do enough damage.
