it seems that the sticky for builds and guides is a little outdated. some of the links are dead, and the selection of guides is very limited, especially compared to the other stratagy forums. i have seen a lot of good threads with guides that generated really good discussions in this forum, and it seems that it would be good to have that information available to newcomers to the forum, instead of them tidiously searching through pages and pages of threads. does anyone else agree? perhaps i shouldnt have made this public, and instead should have PM'ed a mod about it, but i think it should be a community decission.
True.. only guide that worked was the ones I defitnly didin't need.
its been needing an update for a while.
yeah they are really outdated
Yes they should.
Problem is that most guides that are posted these days seldom offer any new info. (maybe except for a few gear changes)
Its just up to someone to put a guide on forum which actually has something new to offer.
perhaps it would be helpful for all of us to mention guides that we think deserve to be in the sticky? that way we can also get a discussion going about what guides people think are relevent enough to go on. im sure it will be helpful for a mod if they ever do decide to update.
i disagree, i think a lot of guides have not been mentioned, and along with that a lot of original concepts
i would suggest to start with
hungery bear
http://forums.diabloii.net/showthrea...ht=hungry+bear
CtC comprehensive guide
http://forums.diabloii.net/showthrea...=comprehensive
kodiak bear
http://forums.diabloii.net/showthrea...ghlight=kodiak
along with that there is no guide for a fury wolf (one of the popular druid builds these days) and nothing about any of the subclasses such as fury/rabies, vita, titan, etc. also nothing about maulers or shockmaulers (though i couldnt find any guides with info about that in this forum). there are a lot of them out there, they are just barried in pages of threads....
often i notice a lot of the questions that come up on this forum are questions about builds that would be answered if there were guides that could be easily accessed. it seems like having that info ready and available would be a lot more productive than constantly answering the same questions over and over again (although there is nothing wrong with a contraversial debate that pops up now and again, or simply a different view). this could not just include guides but other info such as tests (like rabies), or perhaps, for an example, the debate over HoW and Oak. the more wealth of info we are able to build off, the more we will reach to discover new things.
Just a note, there is a Fury/rabies and I think its newest guide available here
What's a titan druid?
all str high damage
Hmm...possibly a quick guide to druids, perhaps a druid terms guide eh?
@maxmax true....and a very good fury/rabies guide, with cool pictures. However, it isn't a pure fury guide, which is different than the rabies build.
however on the flip side, I do believe there is currently a guide for pure fury's going in place by a few of the more knowledgeable posters here. I suppose if they threw in variant builds, added some terminology that would be the creme de la creme
