I am sorta in a dilemma right now. I only have a Mal rune, so should I make a Oath in an ethereal Glorious axe or kingslayer in a silver-edge axe? Because what I make will determine which of the above build I will play...
I personally think that the enchantress has more novelty.. its just that... Kingslayer requires Gul.. kinda expensive for me. Oath is cheaper and you can achieve really high damage with vengeance(with the avenger).
Actually, will Oath glorious axe work for an enchantress too? Also, with max lightning mastery and fire mastery, enchant and warmth and using vengeance, roughly what kind of damage are we looking at?
Hopefully it's not too late.Originally Posted by The Arreat Summit
An oath axe would probably work out fine on an enchantress, just make sure you use one of the faster axes, because you will want to make sure you are hitting at least the 10 frame breakpoint, and the 9 frame one is even better.
I've done a couple of 2-handed enchantress (one with Passion and one with Ribcracker) and it's a lot of fun. (My 2-handed Avenger is still in Act 1 Norm, so I don't know about him yet. ) The hardest part bout a 2-handed sorc is getting her resists up. With the magic absorb on Oath, I might start looking at an Energy Shield enchantress variant so resistances don't end up being as important.
What's your point?Originally Posted by shag
Oath is a ladder only runeword, hecne you can't make one on Single Player.

I think that it's much easier to hit the best breakpoint with Feral Axe (WBS -15) for sorc.
BTW - both these builds are in my to-do list too...
I actually plan to make Kingslayer in a Glorious Axe... I just like how it looks so humongous on the sorc.. haha. And I've made a treachery dusk shroud for her too.. with 45% IAS that should compensate for the slow attack speed of glorious axe. Wonder if that's a good idea?
I pondered over the ES route.. with Oath I will probably go the the ES route so should I dump everything into energy since vitality gives 2 hp for each point invested as well but mana can absorb damage more efficiently than hp.. and that also means I can totally disregard resistance.. which is a headache to achieve.
But with kingslayer I will probably go with other masteries to fully tap the potential of a vengeance attack..
