Might be a nice idea to find out :

    Charged Bolt (lvl 20)
    Mana cost: 12.5
    Lightning damage: 112 - 128 (ø120.5)
    Number of bolts: 22
[Synergy] Lightning: +120% Lightning damage (6% / Lvl)

    Nova (lvl 20)
    Mana cost: 34
    Lightning damage: 495 - 710 (ø602.5)

    Lightning (lvl 20)
    Mana cost: 17.5
    Lightning damage: 3 - 5963 (ø2983.5)
[Synergy] Charged Bolt: +160% Lightning damage (8% / Lvl)
[Synergy] Chain Lightning: +160% Lightning damage (8% / Lvl)
[Synergy] Nova: +160% Lightning damage (8% / Lvl)

    Chain lightning (lvl 20)
    Mana cost: 28
    Range: 13.3 Yards
    Lightning damage: 3 - 3611 (ø1807.5)
    Number of hits: 9
[Synergy] Charged Bolt: +80% Lightning damage (4% / Lvl)
[Synergy] Lightning: +80% Lightning damage (4% / Lvl)
[Synergy] Nova: +80% Lightning damage (4% / Lvl)

    Lightning Mastery (lvl 20)

So, at level 90 you will have the above skills.
Kinda missing tele in this equasion, so add 2 more levels.
At least you have a goal with level 92.

But your lightning will be doing serious damage.
With a mere +3 skills your lightning will be doing :
    Lightning damage: 4 - 8164 (ø4084)

Now, the other aspect of feasability is offcourse how receptive the monsters are to your advances.
Let's presume you want to do some CS'ing, if you are to reach level 92, you will become good friends with Dia and his co-horts.
Storm Casters will not be having any of it, unless you have a pint-sized Neprechon with you who can lower their resist. (100 in Hell)
Venom Lords, bessides being tough as nails like they usually are, have 75 lres.
Doom Knights have 20 lres and Oblivion Knights have 60 lres.

I think it could actually be do-able or at the very least a non-common, probably even chalenging, build.

    So go build !

120 fcr light sorc- fastest killing pvm sorc, not best overall.. is fragile

120 fcr light sorcs are also very good duelers, but you have to level a lot and have godly gear to reach their potential

80 fcr light sorcs are nothing special, although an es/cb sorc is viable

Ah, Fred, where've you been? We all thought you died or something again. Steve even had to fill in for you the other night on the Speeder thread.

Light sorcs are not nearly as efficient as many other sorc builds. Without massive +skills they're not very good.

One of my friends liked my 86 light sorc so much he made one and ended up bringing it to high level (not sure how high on classic), then converting it to xpac because it didn't work.

As for sorc builds I've done...
    Pure blizz = 92(pure vita) 85(30str west) 78(45str hc)
Fireball = 89(20str and a few cs runs from 90 before friend fd to base), 83(hc), 79(150ene and some added str), 67(nightmare)
    Orb = 87(orb/ts) 83(orb/es/tele mixed) 80(mfer) 48(no title)

And I know I'm forgetting at least a few, but I would say the best are the pure blizz and fireball, although fball without es and having a bit of energy added and the extra points to warmth would be very nice. I put them to hydra, which was nice, but I think the warmth build is better.
