I was wondering what the viability of this build would be for PvM.
weapon: Doom Zerker
shield: Dream Vortex
helm: Dream Bone Visage
Ammy: rare +2 pally with resists and str
armor: Enigma Mage Plate or Coh Mage plate
Ring: Raven/rare duel leech with str & AR
boots: eth treks
belt: nos coil
Charms: as many Pcombat as possible/fhr/resists/life/torch/anni
Skills would be something like...
Vengeance = max
resists lightning = max
resist cold = max
holy shield = max
Conviction = enough for lvl 25
+ pre reqs
rest into defiance
stats: mainly vitality and enough dex for max block
this would give you HUGE elemental damage,
-lvl 30 fully synergized holy shock
-lvl 12 fully synergized holy freeze
+ 300% fire damage
-150% to all enemy resists (-210% to cold resist)
the only problem here is with IAS, a rogue merc would allow you to hit the 8 frame bp which is fastest with vengeance if she had a lvl 15 fanaticism faith though.
any thoughts on this? Im not sure if a build like this already exists, I guess hes more of less the usual vengeance/conviction with some specific items? I get confused with the pally build thread, they all have specific names that don't elude to what skills they actually use...so it makes finding out what they actually use kind of tedious.
It looks pretty darn good, but the speed is still a bit of my concern on this though..
Instead of pcombats, you may need some offensive gcs for the conviction to stay at level 1, so you dont put more than 1 point into conviction to reach -150 resists. I'd have points into salvation to boost the damage output, but that's just me. Faith merc would DEFINITELY help alot too, this is yet a creative auradin actually.
yeah, Ias is always going to be an issue when using vengeance.
I think vengeance has the same attack speed as a regular attack? if so 8fpa is the fastest you can hit.
with 45%ias on doom axe
20% on LoH
10% on nos coil
and lvl 15 fanat from merc
that reaches fastest possible attack speed with vengeance which is 8fpa.
I do like the idea of some offensive charms for conviction so extra points can go into salvation. But im still thinkin about the 2% per level would even be worth it since taking away the combat charms will lower your vengeance lvl and also your holy shield, since only hard points matter in resist lightning and resist cold offensive wont help there with synergies, in the end it may not be worth it.
I have a palladin similar to this. I PvP with him. Only a couple types of builds that give me trouble. 1 Hit KO's are not uncommon. To slow for killing massive amounts of monsters in PvM in my opinion. Fun to duel with though.

Hi. Ive made many vengers this way. Is like driving a slow moving tank through hell that runs out of mana all the time. you will be killing everything 1 at a time and be helpless when you get mana sucked by all that attacks you.
