What should I socket my g'face with?

I pretty much tried to follow the uber smite guide so my setup is:

Grief phaseblade
Sanctuary shield (98 res)
crappy fortitude (for now)
t'gods
g'face
ravenfrost
carrion wind (for now)
+27 all res ammy (for now)

So, keeping in mind that I'm not very "rich", I have a 15% IAS jewel, would that help? Any other ideas? My resists are pretty good...thanks.

Socket a um if you can. You need huge resists. And I really think you should stay with that fort since a p fort and a crappy fort ain't that much different after all. And the ias jewel is not what you need, you automatically hit the fastest smite speed with a grief phase.

I found that I actually didn't need the resists during regular play or vs uber meph (w/ Salvation) so I socketed it with a Ber for a wee bit of damage reduction. My gear is pretty similar to yours, with the exception of credendum belt, highlord's ammy, and a mana leech/10 resist all ring.

I actually have a 40ed/7 stamina jewel that I could use since I don't need the IAS, right? Where is the 40%ed applied and will I notice a difference?

Jewel %ed applies to your base damage. In your case that'd be your shield damage + Holy Shield bonus + 'Grief' bonus, or (roughly) somewhere in the 500 dmg range. 500 * 0.4 = 200 additional avg dmg (again, roughly). If that seems worth it to you, go for it, but I'd personally rather have some extra resists or maybe FHR.

i have 2 and socketed one with a 40/15 and the other a magic 15 res all + something else jewel.

I cant remember what the second stat is.

Socket it with 2x shaels. You have low fhr from what it looks like. And in uber trist 19x minions and an uber hitting you can = mad fhr which can lock you.
