So, my first question is, how do you guys keep up your mana? Right now I got a mana pool of 581, which isn't bad, but I use a merc with insight to keep up unlimited mana pool. It's nice and all, but eventually my merc could use a better weapon (and any recommendations on upgrades?) and I'm not sure how my mana pool will sustain after i drop insight. Is 580ish a standard mana pool, and i'm just gonna have to suck it up and use mana pots?
Next question.....Mfing.....what do you guys typically do in a MF run? I usually do countess, andy, summoner, meph, shenk/elditch, and recently nihlitak. I hear people saying to do the pit, but i have honestly yet to see anything even close to decent in there. Is there any better things i should hit for mfing?
And running nihilitak.......how do you guys do it reliably? He's rough......i can tele down there, i check each direction until i find him, then tele back and clear from stairs to nihilitak, that's the only way i can do it reliably. Anyone got any better methods of running him? heh.....
Stick with the Insight. Remember, you are the main killing power, not your merc. With the unlimited mana from Insight, you can kill much faster.
As for MF, I run Andy, Meph, and Pindle, in Hell of course.
Forget about running nihilitak (whatever his name is) if you don't have nature's peace. Nowadays, I use my IK barb since it is so much safer anyways. Anyways, this is one guy you should actually drop meteors on (unlike most other enemies that you FB'ed to death).
I don't know what everyone is talking about how nilthak is so hard. Can someone explain? I killed all the minions, then stood on a corpse and watched it explode and it only did 1/8 my life. This was with my nl lite sorc, and she has... 1700 after bo. I just don't get it.. But anyways, I run andy, pits, meph. Since pindle's drops were nerfed. :/
i don't know what exactly happens, but they shoot their poison spear thing, then they leave this invisible trail where the spear was, and if you land in it, it hurts bad.....real bad. And then you usually have a pack of 3 or 4 that all shoots spears, all on roughly the same path, land on that, you will die instantly. Most often happens to your merc, sorcs aren't effected by it as much because we do less walking. basically, if you see vipers shoot poison spear, stay off the path it made for 5 seconds after the animation goes away.
And i've gotten quite a bit better at running him in case anyone cares!
just tele in, if he's fire and cold immune, quit the game, if he's fire immune and there is some nasty and highly populated spawns, quit, and the other 75% of the time he won't be immune to fire, just tele around and drop meteors till he dies.
I'm almost level 89 now, just from MFing, running nihli everytime, so i guess i'm getting decent at it.
