I once read somewhere about a movie or possibly a miniseries where the sun dies or something, and gets bigger and bigger until it finally consumes the earth aswell causing everyone to die.
Now, I don't know the title nor who was in it, but I know it was about how people spend the last day(s) alive.
Thus I'm pretty sure it's not a disastermovie with a bunch of action or anything.
Does anyone know ANYTHING about it that could help me find out the title of that damn thing?
It sounds pretty interesting and it's bugging the hell out of me :(
This won't help you at all. But I once read a novel with that premise. Supposedly, this had happened 1,000 years in the past and something like 10,000 people escaped by building an artificial planet. It was a series of spheres. As the population increased, they would build an additional level outside their existing sphere. Don't remember much else than that, but it was a cool idea.
I believe it was on the Discovery channel recently, i think it was a one time deal though. They probably have reruns on now.

well, just to add to that, it's a scientific fact that the sun will expand and consume the earth. so it's probably been involved in quite a bit of science fiction.
there was a similar episode of the Twilight Zone
I suppose you're talking about some sort of documentary then and not a movie of any kind?Originally Posted by AjustinMyJonson
Ash, do you by any chance remember which one?
Might be worth checking out
I hope to god it isnt called Supernova.
I remember reading about stars dying when I was like, 7. Why is everyone making it out like this is a new discovery?

Almost.there was a similar episode of the Twilight Zone
In the "Midnight Sun", the Earth leaves its orbit and approaches the Sun. It's all seen through the eyes of a young woman who finally collapses from the heat (paint melts off of pictures, etc.).
Of course, being a Serling story, the final twist is that exactly the opposite is happening. The Earth is actually moving away from the Sun and everything is starting to freeze. The woman is suffering from a coma producing fever.
That might be it, I'll check it out.
Thanks KillerAim
