Please give me some answers. I am talking only about smite vs smite hero. I am aware of stats distribution and skills. My question is about equipment. Things that I am interested in are:
1. Boots and especially the use of War Traveller boots. Do they give any damage to the smite hero(I am not talking about charge - only about smite damage)?
2. Enhanced damage - does it give smite damage or not ? Or maybe ed gives more leech when life tap is cast during smite duel? And i am talking abot any ed- ed from jewels, weapon and shield.
3. Since I am interested only in smite damage for my hero is it going to be any trouble if I make my grief on ..... a Military Pick for example thus gaining stat points from str. requirements?
4. How much is weapon range or is it of any importance when concerning smite vs smite duel?

1. War travs don't add to smite.
2. Enhanced damage affects smite, as long as it comes OUTSIDE of the weapon. Any jewels on gear, % damage bonuses from gear etc affect smite,besides the ed of the weapon itself. And higher damage=higher leech.
3. Damage wise,smite is affected only by the +dmg modifier. Base weapon has nothing to do with the damage. You can use anything,although zerk axe or phase blade are the options. Zerk for range,phase for speed. Naga instead of zerk has exactly the same effect on smite,but you'll lose resale value and if you are gonna be using enigma,I don't see why 138 str. req (zerk) is a problem.
4.I feel that range might play a roll if one of the duelers knows how to stay off range. In the vast majority of the public game smite duels,range is not too important,since it is just namelock/smash. Perhaps range affects who gets the first hit in but I have no hard data for this.

I want to use another weapon especially because I want to remove raven frost ring as a prerequisite for wearing Berserk axe Grief(requires over 55dex).
I do not need any stats in dex - since no block is needed. I want to wear 2 bul rings and dex here is an obstacle when wearing BA.
I excluded PB grief because it makes me loose a lot of stats about 25-30 and also makes me use stats in dex (I do not need that)
Enigma I think is not the solution for smite vs smite. There is nothing better than the good old shaftstop(30% damage reduction). So I will be wearing shaftstop.
So I have made several smiters and i just want to achieve max damage and life. That is how I realised that I could reduce str down to 106(verdungo) and thus gain 32 stats(138str for grief BA)that equal about 180 life pts(with added bo). Now for me this is a lot of life.

And pls think about this:
If I use Military Pick and my grief becomes with 35 or more ias i do not need any more ias. Range will be 2 but there will be a free hole in my equipment for lets say a jewel 9str/40ed
Thus itseems that I will have to reach a lot less str pts for my equipment.
And I am doing it only because I want my perfect smite :PP

Check this: Anni/torch 15 stats each =30. Takes you to 55 for mage plate enigma. Enigma at lvl 80 gives 60 to strength. You are now at 110 ,you can wear your verdungo,and If you use Hoz,you are at 130 strength. With better anni/torch you can reach 140...Enigma and hoz give tons of life. 8%dr from eni,15% from dungo, 8% from ber'd hoz,and 18% from shako "ber" you have almost maxed damage reduction (49%) without shaftstop and with base strength...Shaftstop requires 92 to strength already,how do you plan to get there (or to 89 for hoz without str. from enigma?).
If you don't want enigma,take a look at fortitude too...But then you'll have to stay at 41% dr or change helmet,which I think is bad because shako seems ideal...
EDIT: Check war axe or naga too. Military pick is viable no worries...
The problems with enigma are low defense and no resists. But otherwise it'd be really good considering how little base str you need to have if you wear it and although fort adds more damage to smite, enigma has its own uses.
He is smite vs smite only,so he is looking for the best damage/life combo. Low defense and no resists on enigma are 100% irrelevant in smite duels.Originally Posted by MegaFlame

I forgot to mention - my realm is headoff and is applied only for Bulgaria. I am from Bulgaria. Things here have the same base but really are a lot different.
I did not mention as well that i will use cham rune in my shako. I will do that because i want 2 bul rings and I will not wear raven frost so I am obliged to use cham rune ( exile freezes target - you know I guess).
There is no torch here. I do not really know what is this :P
There is only anihilus sc.
And thus I will have very little damage reduced using enigma. I just do not have anything to replace shaftstop with considering the way i want to use the hole in my shako.

I have tried this one man.
No use of forty damage when you are facing a smiter with shaftstop.
Well a better option than shaftstop could be any 4 socketed magical armor with life...Something like a jeweler's dusk shroud of the whale ,with 4xber and 80-100 to life. More life and more DR% than shaftstop...And less strength needed to equip it,but these are ridiculously expensive.
