Personly I think the Tower has the simplest Entrence/Stair patterns to remember of all the places in D2, except for Pindle of course.
Finding the Tower is the most frustrating part for me, but still it usually just involves an ever growing circle.

...is it better remove the mf gear b4 doing Countess??? bcos i notice that each time i hv my Gheed on she only drop me 1rune & some rare items......without Gheed ... she at least drop me 3 runes^^
MF% wouldn't have any affects on the rune drops. It wouldn't even affect how many runes drop per run because it would only help determine what quality items are dropped.
The only way to have a chance of increasing/decreasing the amount of runes that are dropped from the countess rune drop is with the player count.
95% of the time I'm right, so why worry about the other 2%?

It doesn't matter. MF has no effect on rune drops or what kind of items drop, only whether or not they're magical/rare/set/unique.Originally Posted by aresze

what is the highest rune that nitemare countess can drop? cos i'm after a pul and it would be quicker to run nm tower over hell theoretically as a fanat zealot...![]()
Io? I believe is the highest nm countess can drop, either that or Ko, I'm not quite sure.
Special rune drop goes like this:
Normal: up to rune 8 (ral)
NM: up to rune 16 (io)
Hell: up to rune 24 (ist)
pattern is easy to remember as it's 8*difficulty.
Her normal drop is alot harder to remember, but for normal I believe it's Tir, NM is Ko and hell is Lo as mentioned.
Random bosses down there can drop any rune except Zod.
Hi,
from patch 1.13, rune drop has been increase alot, I use to run her in 1.12 and she never dropped anything, and in 1 week of 1.13, I have gotten 3 mal, 5 pul, 2 um and a SUR, yes a SUUUUR. So if you want good HR, just run her and enjoy the drops.
