Fullscreen. But can someone tell me how to activate the windowed mode?:laugh: Just adding "-w" to the shortcut or something like that? I only know it from the glide wrapper (which doesn't work properly) and there it's different...

Yep, exactly!
Right click, properties, and where the path is stated, you put "-w" afterwards, similarly to the RWM....
I have both of them enabled, and they work OK.....

Oh, I play windowed. I don't MP much, and I'm usually on MSN while playing, so I like to access other programs faster. Even if I click off the screen, the game pauses, so it's no big deal.

I didn't vote since there's no "both" option. I'm in windowed mode when I'm doing MF runs (so if I get bored I can play something else or to easily change the music I'm listening, I rarely listen to D2 music anymore) and I'm in full mode when I'm questing (so all my attention is in surviving)

Just why is it so dark? Can you change that? I always chat and listen to music while playing, too, but I don't find a quick hit on the windows button too long to annoy me.

I play full screen, never tried it in window mode.

I play fullscreen. It doesn't look spectacular, but my monitor is large enough that windowed mode is just too small. (And D2 is too stupid to run properly on my second (CRT) moniter where it would look better.) Besides that, windowed mode switches to 256 colors, which makes rares and uniques the same color.

Of course, I'm on a mac, so I can switch between windowed and fullscreen any time I want with just a keystroke. So, I can always pop into windowed mode if I need to do something. (Here's another random piece of info: on macs, the movies still play in windowed mode.)

My 2 big problems with windowed mode are:

Clicking off screen is the most annoying thing in the world.
There's a lack of contrast. And the image is darker.

Aside from those two, I'd playing windowed mode exclusively.

I can't get into the game unless it's fullscreen, I'd get too distracted by too much stuff on my desktop.

- load times seem somewhat faster
- it's a lot easier to do other things in the background while playing and alt+tabbing to another program is instantaneous, since resolution doesn't need to be changed

If I'm going to be playing for a long time, I like to use full screen. If I'm playing Hardcore I ALWAYS go full screen.
