So here is what happened, I left my Enigma and my HoTO on the ground in a transfer game. The Enigma was in a self found dusk shroud, and the HoTO was in a self found flail. I rejoin my game with another character and those are the only two items missing of seven that I left on the ground. This was a passworded game and I have no Idea what happened to them. These are the only two good runeworded items I have ever made, and now they are gone. I am still in this game, any ideas on what happened or how to get them back?
Thanks for looking.
Items left on floor for too long simply vanish, you will never get them back.
Life can be cruel sometimes, now ya learnt it the hard way, sorry for your lost mate.
Items left on ground dissapear after a while. Runewords are considered to be normal items, and they are usually the first to go.
Sorry about your loss...same thing happened to me a few months back when I was transferring all of my pally gear. My nigma poofed on me, but I picked up everything else in time. Runewords have a short life on the ground unfortunately, something like 5-10 minutes, since it is still considered a "normal" item. Other things, such as magic, rares, and uniques have a longer life on the ground.
I was afraid of that.... Thanks for the quick replies. Time to do keyruns until my face falls off to get more organ sets, then hopefully high runes.
I simply cant agree with that statement. If losing 2 not-so hard to get pieces of code in a video game is the hard way, what is a car crash?now ya learnt it the hard way,

They disappear after like...several minutes (30?)

Umm.. how about a car crash is real life? Not sure if you noticed or not, but D2 isn't real life, and as such, everything is just pieces of code, so losing two decently expensive pieces of said code is indeed the hard way. Not sure exactly why you brought real life into a discussion of a video game, but the two circumstances don't compare at all.
Sorry if my thread caused a little controversy, but I am glad that I was able to learn what actually happened so I know what not to do. Now I will never lose items this way again.
I am also happy to report that after 1 night of ferocious keyruns I got enough organ sets to get back everything I lost. Thanks everyone!
how exactly does a car crash teach you not to leave your enigma+hoto on the ground for too long?
what an idiotic thing to say....
