Hi there, I am new to battlenet so forgive me if this is a silly question!
I logged onto battlenet today as was whispered to "what is your cd key?" Now my instinct is that this was some sort of scam so I refused to reply.
The message came from an address like blizzard@north or some such.
Now my Diablo II & LOD are 100% legal, legit and purchased myself. My account is unhacked and I don't use ANY hack or editing program.
Was I right in thinking this was a scam or does Blizzard ever ask this online?
Thanks for the response in advance and as I said, I new so be kind please!

If you read the warning in the panel where you create/join games, it says Blizzard never asks for password (as far as I can remember correctly). Anyway, what you get is definitely a spam.
It's a scam, and a pretty stupid one at that. Whisper him back some random fake CD-Key and let him grovel on that for a while.
Before you give him a fake CD key, if you have the time, act like you're interested and naive. =D
"Okay where do I find my CD-key????"
Thank you for confirming my suspicions guys!
And LOL I do love the fake CD key idea. I am just not cunning enough sometimes!
