hi guys, like the title says, should I use a Grief or BotD for my WW Fury Druid. He is PvM as well. Any suggestions would be great.![]()
Botd would be good for pvm because of the leech. Grief for pvp because it has more avg dmg.
Botd=hihger range
Grief=more damage
Awsome, thanks for the input guy. Also, would you recommend HoW or Oak? I'm leaning towards HoW.
nope, oak better in every way. Name 5 skill ways you can get A. More enhanced damage. B. More life
A. Might Aura(from mercs)
Decriptify(reapers toll)
HOW
Concentration from Pride Merc
Fanat from beast/rogue faith merc
B. BO
Oak Sage
Lycan
Wups no more...
Ferro, what do you mean by higher range? If you mean damage range you're totaly off. The crappiest grief will give more damage then the best botd.
I think he means an EBOTD made into a Berserker Axe which has a range of 3 vs. a Grief Phase Blade which has a range of 2.
botd hands down (EbotdZ)
.. sure everyone knows Grief has nice dmg and all.. but it doesnt:
1) Dual Leech(enough said pvm wise)
2) 30+stat boost.. which basically is saying 60+vit for your build..= 120hp.. = a lot more when lyc
EbotdZ obviously destroys Grief.. even tho grief has the higher average dmg..bt whats dmg if you cant survive long enought to hit them.. ..
cheeers
PpZ
I think I shall clarify this little misconception because apparently simple math is beyond some people.
Berserker Axe: 24-71 damage.
Etheral Berserker Axe: 36-106.5
+400 damage grief zerker does 424-471 base damage
+415% ebotdz zerker does 185-548 damage
Now, the conclusions the unknowledgeable would draw from this is that a Perfect grief berserker axe has a better damage range, but a perfect ebotdz has a better max damage. This is of course true by itself. Now lets add off weapon enhanced damage. Lets say from a fortitude armor (because this is what you'll most likely be using on a melee charecter).
Grief: 424 + 300% = 1696 471 + 300% = 1884
1696-1884 damage
Ebotdz: 36 + 715% = 293.4 106.5 + 715% = 868
293 - 868 damage
Conclusion: The maximum damage on a perfect ebotdz is slightly higher then half the minimum damage on a grief weapon. This is of course, ignoring the other exceptional mods on both weapons but for outright damage, nothing beats grief. Ever.
botd has speed advantage with range over the viable phase grief that fury can use, which is equal speed but less range.
PvP is more than point and click guys - If you don't know that then you don't know much, even if you are talking melee.
