Why not just forgo the whole "speed control" by electronics and just get a good ol' gas engine with an accelerator that works with a pulling mechanism? Most go-karts are made that way, just a pedal with a mechanical pulling system linked to the engine.

i didnt get anything done today becuase my friend had to go to the gym (hes unhealthily obsessed) and i had no energy (last few weeks have been hell on my mind, but thats a story for another thread) and tomorrow im getting driving lessons with my dad (w00t for motorcycles). so yeah, i think im gonna have to put this project off for a while (along with the homebuilt nerf gun, flamethrower, catapult, and countless other questionably-safe ideas).

well, i am getting a real bike in... 20 days. im gonna fix up my dads old honda silverwing for the next few weeks and learn to ride it, then on my birthday itll be mine. then when he gets a new bike (in a few years) ill get his current 2000 honda magna (sexy bike)

The reason I didn't suggest an internal combustion engine is because ghosts are silent.

As for the catapult(I've built a few and a ballista or two) http://www.siege-engine.com/ those guys have good ideas/pictures. Also look up a program called Trebstar, it will help a lot.

That is a good lookin bike, do they still make those? Is it a 750?

I'll be gettin a Yamaha V Star 1100 Custom in about a month.
