Jerks on B.Net, my first 'sin.

So none of my friends are online, and I just got my trapper to level 80. This means I can finally equip my arach! Woot. Anyway, you know where this is going. I do a pubby xfer in a ancients help please game. Just as I drop my arach outside of town in act one I see someone pop into the game in the encampment. So I switch to my 'sin real fast and make a run for it, but this guy beats me to it. He starts spamming, "thanks for arach."

Not too much of a biggie. I was pubby xferring, these things happen, etc. So I say, "yw." Then I say, "you guys need help with ancients?" A couple of people say yeah, but the guy that just jacked me says, "stfu you stupid (racial slur omitted) noob." And proceeds to spam it through the whole game. Oh the humanity. It's disappointing where the moral majority heads when they're given anonimity. *sigh*

I helped them with ancients, a couple people say thanks or leave, except the guy (lvl 23 'sin who i just lost a pricy item to and did a hard quest for)) that stole my arach. He calls me another racial slur and leaves. Nice. I wasn't expecting him to give it back, but the rudeness was crazy. I'm hoping he was either 14 years old, or if he's an adult spreading that kind of karma, maybe he will get cancer soon...

On a positive note. my sin is level 80 and kicking *** in Hell. She's got about 5k trap damage. She's wearing enigma so I finally have a tele char. her fcr is pretty decent, so I just flip on fade and I'm off. This is the first 'sin I've made that I invested in gear wise and really planned out the build before I started. She's a light trapper (original, eh?) with some Blade Fury gear on switch since it's fun. She's a blast to play, no I just need an infinity and I will rule the world.

whut i do when i xfer in a public game is go to my mule (hes in normal) and look for a perming mule game...once i enter say hello....see if any1 responds...if some1 says hello back...find another one....if no1 says anything u should be good for the whole 1 minute (at most) it takes to come back in with the character, drop the item, exit, change char, go back in game, grab item

and if u can throw it in a different act just incase some1 comes back and presses alt for the hell of it

i never take chances in pubby games. i prefer to wait 5 mins to perm a game as it wouldn't hurt and while i wait for that time, i'd search the web, check email, etc.

sry for ur loss there though, number of noobish players is just crazy when in pub games.

Sorry for your loss. At least that doesn't seems so bother you that much. Sounds like that scamming someone else of some pixels was the big thing in the day of this idiotic 12 years old. When i hear things like this i just hope that i wasn't acting the same way back then. Oh well. :embarassed:

I am leveling a light trapper too at the moment so if you wanna do some runs with me i should be at level 80 or so in a day or two.

whut i do when i xfer in a public game is go to my mule (hes in normal) and look for a perming mule game...once i enter say hello....see if any1 responds...if some1 says hello back...find another one....if no1 says anything u should be good for the whole 1 minute (at most) it takes to come back in with the character, drop the item, exit, change char, go back in game, grab item

This sounds incredibly dangerous - and several times when perming mules and checking the chat log before leaving I've seen that items have been stolen (log full of "give it back, it's mine etc.). Just because you don't get a reply doesn't mean nobody's watching - I never reply in a mule perming game unless I know the person.

Using another act is not necessarily safe, unless it's some obscure location close to a waypoint most people won't have, such as Great Marsh. I've seen other players come in with high-level chars after someone uses the waypoint in Rogue Encampment - and at least one case where expensive stuff was stolen this way.

I got a spot I used to use, but don't drop xfer nemore anyway. I remember a few times by tyreal(?) in act 4. Smmoth, now I just wait for soemone to get online.

its worked for me a number of times...but how many ppl actually join a mule perming game and sit at their screen for 2 hours waitinf for ppl to come in and mule??? so i would say 90% of the time no1 is actually at their comp...maybe i just been lucky....and thats y i say go in with the norm guy first and say hello....then come in with the high lvl and drop somewhere...by the time u leave and come back with ur other char...im pretty sure the other low lvl wont have enough time to exit and get his high lvl and come back AND THEN find ur item b4 u get in there.....know whut i mean?

My normal time to perm mules is in the morning, while I eat breakfast and get ready to go to work. My mule sits in the game with message log open, so it's not completely unlikely for me to notice out of the corner of my eye if something abnormal (such as talk) happens.
