Hi i'm new and i need advice please!

Hi, i'm not really new to Diablo, but last time i played was like 5 years ago, and i was wondering what character should i start with in 1.11 that would be able to do Countess, Andy and Mephisto in hell with average equipement.

    Thank for helping me!

A meteorb sorceress should suit your needs. I'm assuming by "average gear" you can get a wizardspike, peasent crown and whistans gaurd? If so, you should be just fine on all 3, provided you're at least somewhat competent with a sorceress.

You could also try a Skellimancer if you are starting fresh. I just moved from West to East for a fresh start and needless to say, had 0 gold and 0 items to begin with.

My Skellimancer is currently lv 70 and I am running Hell pits.

I started hell wearing junk: a 6 resist all, 10 life amulet.
    a 5 Str Ring
a 24 Light resist, 17 fire resist Ghost Armor
    Ancients Pledge runeword
    a 24 fire resist helm
The only thing I did was raise Vitality to 200.
    I had 680 life, 24 fire, -25 cold, 14 lightning, -20 poison.

It is truly the easiest untwinked character to play, Skeletons do all the work.

    Skills:
    20 Skel
    20 Mastery
    20 CE
    5 Amp

    Act 2 NM Might Merc

Since starting Hell, I have been able to get my resists up to all +40, life to 900 and about 9 Puls (Most from trading away drops and spent already to trade for gear)

Welcome back. I just recently switched to hc and i have searched the forum for the same info you seek. It seems to me that most people suggest summoming necros (like reyla's build there), javazons, meteorb, or orb/tk sorcs, and dont forget the normal and nm killing machine, the trap assn. Good luck with what you decide on!

p.s. My name is sean and my acct is gambits_hc if you need any help. Help is limited though, simply because i just started hc as well and my highest char is a 56 sorc.

Thank you to everyone for the help, but i decided to start a new sorceress, she is now at level 37 and i didnt put any skill yet. My stats are 75 strenght, 75 dexterity and 75 vitality. I was thinking to make a Blizzard Sorc to MF with since i read the Blizzard Guide in the strategy section but this kind of sorc was good in 1.10, is it still good in 1.11?

Blizzard is very good, but also tends to be a little bit more dependant on items than an orb/tk build. Both will work, but on a tight budget, orb/tk or meteorb is the way to go.
