Best place to find shield for eth exile?

wher eis the best place to find eth pally shields to make exile? if anyone knows please let me know.

I always thought Hell chaos runs and Hell cows were good places to find items to put runewords in.

It depends on the shield. Vortex shields are in the armo87 TC, for example, so only L83+ monsters can drop it. That shield has the best defense, but also the highest str req and the lowest base blocking among the elite pally shields. It's also the most rare item type in the game, together with other TC 87 class-specific armor (bloodlord skull, dream spirit, guardian crown). Another option might be a sacred targe which has the best base blocking and the lowest str req. It's in the armo63 TC and any monster in hell mode as well as monsters from half of act 5 nightmare and nm cows should be able to drop it.

Armour racks in halls of vaught often (relatively, i.e. 3 times ever) give me eth sacred targes with 43 all res and more. Often they come with 4 sox already though.
