They may have had more chemisty then Canada or USA, but if they had a year to practice together they would be so much better then they were. And just because they won, doesnt mean they played like a team. I havent seen Finland play yet so I cant say much about them. But the Russians can be much better then they are. Granted they are becoming more of a team as the tournament goes on, but its still not enough.

Its definitly not as exciting as the World Junior tournament was.

I've actually been watching more women's hockey this year than men's. On another note, the Canadian women's hockey team is also pretty attractive.

EDIT: 5-1: Hnlicka doesn't want to play anymore!

I was supporting the Czechs, dammit! I demand a rematch with Hasek between the pipes whenever he's fit again!

Sweden is just scary. If they hadn't have taken the day off when they played Belarus in 2002, they'd have easily won. They had already written that game off as a win. New world order in hockey...

Damnit, I missed both games. Were they good games?

And Im gonna miss both medal games because I always work weekends. Oh well, at least Lundqvist is guarenteed at least a silver medal. I would like to be able to watch 6 NY Rangers play in the bronze medal game though.

I missed the Fin-Rus game because I was busy getting fall on my face drunk. The Sweden-Czech game wass great though. The Czechs played great in the third period. It wasn't until about the sixteenth minute that the game sort of died. Until then they really tried to catch up, and tried good. Ten goals, and at least half were beautiful. Really good game.

I almost always prefer men's sports to the female equivalent. They're faster and more extreme, but hockey is a rare exception. The women are generally less physical, but seem to play with a lot more finesse than the men. The passing is better, the puck work is fancier and it's generally more exciting than watching a bunch of guys skating around trying to deck each other for an hour.
