I'm about two-thirds right-handed:
Type, scratch, steer with left.
Brush teeth, comb hair, dial phone, eat, throw, catch with right.
Oddly enough, I can't type worth crap with my right except for the arrow keys and the number pad. Weird, huh?
For even more weirdness, my cursive is about as illegible as my printing, but my backwards cursive is beautiful.

My father was left-handed when he was young. His teachers and parents used to hit his left hand with a ruler if they caught him writing with his left hand. Something to do with the devil being in the left hand. He was forced to use his right hand and has done so ever since out of habit, consequently his writing is extremely messy whichever hand he uses.

Needless to say we are not in contact with his parents.

My grandmother had the same experience. She'd get her hand slapped with a ruler whenever she was caught writing left-handed. Wonderful world we live in, eh?

I have a lefty friend who went to Catholic school and has several children. When his eldest (twins) showed signs of being lefties, he went to the school and made the principal call a meeting of the oldest nuns, some of which had been his teachers. He looked them in the face and said, "My children are only coming here because my wife insisted. If I come home and hear that any of my children have been slapped with rulers for using their left hands, this place will be served with a lawsuit faster than you can blink. But before that, whoever did it had better be ready for me to aquaint their knuckles with a two-by-four. Don't test me, because I don't care how old any of you are; I won't have my children getting nerve damage like mine because of some badly translated bull**** in the Bible. Good day."

Im not ambidextrous by any stretch but I do tend to interchange hands a lot, but Im def right handed at most things! I hold my fork in my left hand when cutting (with a knife) then swap it to my right to shovel the food into my mouth. V weird!

hehe i do the same thing. either that or i'll just use the knife to eat it if it's meat or something

I've tried the whole "learn to be ambidextrous" with the result being minimal. However I may try my hand(s) at it again sometime... not sure.
I, for the most part, am Left handed though.:rolleyes:

I did run into problems with playin' "the game" left handed, back in the day*, but I was able to work it out in the end.
