Only I'm indecisive on if/what to do it in. Here's my collection of 'big' ones
Ko x3
Fal x1
Lem x3
Pul x4
Um x4
Mal x1
Gul x1
If my math is correct, I could cube them to get a Pul and a Vex (barely). HOTO anyone? That's the first option, although I don't have a Hammerdin/Screamer barb.
Second option: CtA sure does look handy... Hang on to them and pray for an Ohm.
3rd option: Upgrades/Resists. I don't have an eth Hone Sundan or eth Titan's Revenge, what are some other common excep. items that make great upgrades?
4th option: I'm thinking out-of-the-box on this one, but the thought of a 4xIst Monarch tempts me as about the sweetest pure MF shield ever (and my sorc can actually carry it). Of course, I'm still two Ist's shy (if I cube what I have), but I could hang onto my Gul and hope for another from HF to make that HOTO at a later date.
Oh yeah, I'm probably 2000+ runs into the Countess in my playing career, and I've only found 2x Pul, 3x Um, and a single Mal, so she's got to be due to drop that Ist any run now, right?
I was trying to figure it out then you said you had 2 ists :P.. you could give me the gul and ..... pray for an ohm? :P
Choose something that enchants a build (or even better, many builds) you really likes or just leave the runes to gather dust. One great piece is CtA. If you keep those matriarchs/patriarchs coming HF will eventually bless you with enough Gul runes for it.
cube a ZOD
If you really want to burn them, HoTO got my vote.
I got a crapload of runes i need to upgrade and see what i can get also. CtA does sound good, but so does the 4 ist monarch
I vote for CtA or HotO.rop: I don't agree with blowing four Ist Runes on a Monarch.
If you are looking at a Ist'ing a shield I would seriously consider something other than a 4os Monarch. My personal preferences would be a 3os Head Hunters glory , a Mosers, or a Milgeraba's Orb (or somthing like that, that set shield has 20MF to start with, you could get 45% mf shield at the cost of a single Ist). My problem with a 4os monarch is the strength requirement. Its a bit high for lots of MF'ing chars (sorcs and necros), the others are much more reasonable and have several other useful properties.
I have an Ist'ed Monarch that I never use because none of my MF'ing chars have the strength for it. I end up dumping a bunch of my mf charms for strength charms and get little to no gain.
