here's a hint. for every issue, there's a spectrum of opinion. i'll give you a few of the most obvious examples.

Guns:
Far right: people should be able to buy whatever guns they like without restrictions.

Far left: private ownership of guns should be abolished.

Moderate: people should be able to buy guns for sporting and self protection. but the sale of guns should be tightly regulated.

Abortion:
Far right: abortion is murder

Far left: any and all abortion should be legal

Moderate: prefer adoption in all cases. but women have the right to do what they choose with their bodies. but late-term abortions should be banned unless the woman's heath is at risk.

Death Penalty
Far right: yee haw, let's light ol' sparky up!

Far left: barbaric practice. should be banned.

Moderate: should be reserved to the most heinous offenses. and should be applied fairly to members of all races.

Gun control laws should be in effect to ensure certain things (won't go into detail here), but strict gun control laws rings of liberalism. Few, and I mean few, believe we should abolish guns by law (we all know how that would turn out), and few believe we should have no control over them whatsoever. Doesn't that make almost everyone a moderate, then, so long as we're not on either side?

If that's the case, sure, you're a moderate. But by moderate, I think, not leaning too far left or right.

I'm not sure about your stances on these issues, but I don't think very many forumgoers here are making decisions based on what you think you believe. I think most of us take a look at how you act, and your past actions sure indicate that you aren't moderate by any means. If you are, you certainly lean left quite a bit. At least, that's what many forumgoer's seem to think. I hope you aren't going to take that anywhere.

tightly regulated = no assault weapons. no "cop killers" (armor piercing bullets). and closing gun show loopholes that get around background checks.

If you support an absolute ban on abortion, chances are you're not a moderate.

Like I said, it's a matter of contrast. there are quite a few far-right members on here. I tend to disagree with them. in their minds, I'm the opposite. I also post from time to time on a Canadian forum. On there, I'm considered right-wing. And yet I'm posting the same opinions. I'm sure the humor of that is lost on you. But I find it amusing.
