I personaly dont see the use for salvation aura I dont/barly have maxed resists and I rock fanat no salvation when fighting mephy and im not even close to dieing I ran uber trist in actully about 1 min *no lie* yesterday my 2nd time ever doing it and I was surrouneded by baal meph and D and a few normal monsters as well and it was SO easy even without all maxed resists

That is because of the constant life tap... Most of the time, this is how it will be... But, if you like to 1) show off to your friends, or 2) take lots of screen shots, thus spending a few seconds getting the picture set up just right, then you will need to have a bit more resist to tank all the damage... I do both... :laughing: This has also gotten me killed a few times... lol Nothing like having your ego smashed and handed back to you when you get too cocky... ^_^

I have draculs, metal 34, raven 20/227, gores, guillaumes, i have ap (567def) to make forty...I have sanctuary herald of zaka 104 all res...i have spirit and cta second hand, t-gods, torch 20/16, ani 20/12, 1 pc, 3 off sk...
I have a few questions though...I need to buy a grief pb...
I noticed u mention that stats doesnt matter and that it will get full speed anyway...u mean ias doesnt matter?
Also about the second ring...I'm looking for a rare ring with dual leech, ar, res...i've found a couple: one has dual leech, 50 ar, 4 all res some life..other has dual leech, +2str, +16dext, +108ar, +9psn res, +34 life but its crafted and has lvl req 95 :P and the other has 9%ll, 1xx ar, 10str, +xxlife...which one is better?
Last what jewel should i put inside guillames? 15ias/xxed? or one with -15reqs, res, str, xxed that i have?

PS. I've been meaning to use this one for a couple of tvt..i'm gonna use phoenix there as the only change for more dmg...do u think he can make it?

yes I agree if you are trying to showoff to people then salvation has a use but its not 100% needed such as some things like lifetap are

If you get a Greif PB and you are using fantacisim, (I forget what level) no matter what roll on your Griefs IAS you will ALWAYS hit the top speed bracket and thus there will be no need for extra IAS from the rest of your gear.

I have no idea on the rings. Any of them will work although LL isn't as imporant as long as lifetap is cast when running ubers. Otherwise I'd probably go with the last one.

If you have an open socket I would plan on socketing it with whatever you are lacking. If you need more res then socket with that. No need for an IAS jewel.

OK, is a pure smiter slightly better at uber trist specifically if i want a char that just gets torches and does NOTHING ELSE?? and if so, what skills should i put into after smite , holy shield , fanat, defiance are maxed? Lets say i am level 92 smiter with all quests done. If the 1 point smite zealer is better I'll just use that, but if the pure smiter is at all better, I'd like to maximize my pure smiter. I know u need at least one point in salvation, but would it be wise to put a point in the other resists to synergize the salvation? Say i put 1 point in each resist and salvation id have about 14 points left for zeal and sacrifice? what works better mostly in sacrifice or mostly in zeal? Or should I just put all my extra popints into salvation and and skip zeal etc.? please enlighten me oh wisened one. :fortuneteller:
my gear is perf coa with 2 bers, grief pb, hoz(myexile has no res mod :(.) dracs, tgods, gores, maras, raven, wisp, coh.
is guillames hat really better than perf coa?, and should i swap out my bers for ums? i read 75 res all in hell with 11 +5 res all scs. thank you kind sir in advance for answering me plz.

using salvation to showoff? for me its a sign of weakness if you need salvation to counter mephi's conviction

just going at it with keeping fana up is more fun and more challenging ^^

No one answered my other question. Anyways, here it is again: Putting points into Resist ____ (In my case, lightning) will raise your resists passively without having to actually put the aura on isn't it? And so if it is, how many res per point or points per res?

If I'm way off then just tell me.

For every 2 hard points the max res of your resistance will be raised one.
