Even if this thing works, you'll still need a backup to kill bosses, because the duration is very short.
The duration, when you have to wait for it, is actually annoyingly long. Though, when you need one of them to be your friend and tank damage it seems waaay too short.
This does prove Einstein's theory that time is not just relative, but also subjective.
When it comes to conversion though, it's all ways 16 seconds.
Yes, you need something to kill the bosses, turning his minions on him is not enough. So have yourself a barbed shield handy and start smiting when he is all alone. It takes a while, but they are stunned anyway, so take your time and be sure to have some mana potions with you to compensate for the 2 mana per smite.
Would be nice if you had a Gnasher with you for the occasion. That helps clear the bosses a lot faster.
Some facts from experience :
You do not have to hit them, my healer has close to no AR, so there would be no way I could convert anything then. Since it is based on chance, I usually just flip on fana, because more hits equals more chances to convert.
Read the last line. Its no bug, therefore there was no bug to be patched.
That would be where I read that then.

It is also said somewhere(yes vague I know, but I just do not remember where I read it) that a monster/demon, when it reverts back, can be slain with one hit from you or your minions. I did test this with a merc, it also works. So perhaps Bliz didn't "fix" this because it is not a bug, but simply a last resort and time consuming way to be able to kill with specialist Paladins.
Glad you found that, so at least I know I am not imagining things.
I think I read trough that when I was making my FoH, cause he needed some supporting skill to fend off the Hordes so he doesn't get swarmed.
In all, this would be a difficult skill to base a character on, but if anybody can do it, it's Fred Cleglaws. I've allways seen it as a supporting skill and something to save my hide from getting swarmed and mangled.
Kindly let us know how you fare with that project then, Fred.
Wow. I din' even realize I was still on the classic forum -_-
Still provided experience and suggested thorns, though.
Yes, just like a page back another person mentioned it.

Thing is, I never used conversion with thorns, because I know aura's linger. I found that out the hard way, walking trough the river with a thorns/conversion pala in my party while I was playing a WW lancer.
Quite the instagib that. Not good for party play at all. Thus, Fred's suggestion of the Holy Freeze aura is more interesting, because it also slows enemies down. Good for your own health and good for throwing a party down by the river.
