Spirit of barbs question

Hi all

I've just started a new druid build, but before i get to fare i would like some input on how "spirit of barbs" work. Im thinking of using cyclone armor, but since cyclone armor absorbs ele dmg. will spirit of barbs still redirect dmg to attacker.

and while we're at the subject, dont waste any points into spirit of barbs. it is utterly pointless.

unfortunatly his is right.... while everyone else was wishing for ll and other skills to come back in .11 .... i think i was one of the few if not the only one only hoping for SoB's to actually be useful .... its aura is hot.
