When talking about money, should the word billion be capitalized? Nevermind what the grammar nazis say. I think it should. Anything that large deserves to be capitalized just by it's nature.
It just looks right. $200 Billion.
$200 billion. Just doesn't have the same effect. It needs to stand out more. Billion. Billion. Maybe even made Billion. It's that impressive.
I tend to capitalize it.
I must admit, I'm indifferent.
Do you leave it in lower case when you're talking about Turkish money?

But I digress. :embarassed:
That would slow down the speed at which one would type billion by at least 0.00000000001% as they need to hold shift key down! Too much work.
ten is a high number too, but i dont capitalize it.
How about capitalizing the entire word...BILLION.
Of course I would. A billion Turkish Lira is only worth $741.565 according to GoogleOriginally Posted by DurfBarian
I might capitalize a quadrillion Lira but not a mere billion.
Only proper nouns get capitalised. It's got nothing to do with size, or "planet", "galaxy", "universe" and "googolplex" would be capitalised.
