IM what do you do?

I get own by IM on a regular basis and I am wondering. How do the people who play hardcore avoid dying? What is/are the most effective strategy/ies for avoiding IM death? Can anyone tell the trade secrets.

Either zerk them to death or tp and get rid of IM by talking to the healing NPC for that act. Only other option is to run and wait it out i guess...

1 point berserk is the "trade secret"

now if you are facing iron maiden + mana burn in HC, run

-use Berserk
-go to town and heal
-use a good ranged weapon
-rely on party members to take out Oblivion Knights

As mentioned, a single point of berserk is all you need to take care of IM enemies. Berserk converts all physical damage to magical.
