to finish the quest (if i recall correct) you have to talk to to Kashya. Only then the questbox will turn grey. But you can delay this until act 3 or maybe i am wrong about the questbox.Originally Posted by Sint Nikolaas

If I remember correctly, the Act3 dude is free if you have no merc alive at the time you talk to Ashaera. As the Rogue he is assigned randomly, so if you get Fire, good luck !
I found a cruel pike with chance to cast CL yesterday (in 1.09, too bad), I wish this happens in this tourney.
I will build like this:
Zeal 5, Sacrifice 10+
HFReeze Max, Resist Cold 10+
If I can get a fast javelin or good IAS Equip, max cold, otherwise, get Defiance, I will see.
This is going to be fun !

Can we also get a Barb Merc ? The last time I tried this, you get a Barb Merc, if you rescue the barbs and talk to Qua-Kehk while yur Merc is dead. It would be more like Hero-Merc this way (Dumb Hero who dies a lot of course, I wished the Barb Mercs had BO, Shout or Hork as skill :wink3: )
hmm ..... i don't think that it works this way, because you would lose your old mercs equipment this way. But if there would materialise an act5 merc out of nowhere without hiring him ... go ahead, but i am quite sure it will not work this way when you already received a "quest merc".

I like this idea of a tournament, best rule I like about it is that you can only use what you find and no shopping, will help me save gold lol.
I would rather have a cold merc than a fire merc, a little more damage is nothing compared to a cold attack quite frequently.

If you have an active Merc and he just died, I don't think you get a new one (or Iron Wolf for that matter). But I think, when you have no Merc (klled+save/exit),then Qua-Kehk will sponsor one.
I will test it. If that means getting through act5 without a Merc - my problem, it is only Normal mode...
No tp or id scrolls either right?

edit: did the blood raven quest so now I have Kyoko to accompany me on my journies, she was only one level from me when I met her. Fire arrows unfortunately, but it's not a big deal really. I like her anyway :rolleyes:

first of all a fiendly hello to everybody who joined, and a special shoutout to SuperSavage for the techno magic.
Durga solved the first 2 quests and is now accompanied by Amplisa. When Durga offered Amplisa an ethereal armour he received a firm slap into his face. Maybe his intentions had been a little bit to obvious. So he decided to look out for a piece of decent armour. Later he was approached by Arkara to save some old bum named Dekerd Cain. Well ... his mother always told him to be respectful to old people and so he decided lend a helping hand.
