Just wondering if anyone here has read the George R.R. Martin series.
I've popped into a few games with my chick magnet handle JamieLannister on my paladin, got a few compliments and such...
And if you are a fan and you just want something cool... I'd be happy to personalize a kingslayer for you with said character :P
Sorry, I guess should get moved to off topic, didn't see it when I posted. Don't hit the newb! *flinches*

Say hi to Freet.
Are you talking about his Wild Card series or another? If the Wild Cards, I think I have only read like the first 6 books.Originally Posted by drewfasta
Song of Ice and Fire rocked. Best fantasy series ever.
I'd definitely put it up in the top 5 I've ever read.Originally Posted by Bortaz

Unfortunately, I've only read the first three books in the series as I find hardcover to be too expensive.
A Song of Ice and Fire is really good, but personally I think The Dark Tower is better.
An excellent series. Probably one of my favorite fantasy series out there at the moment. Can't wait for the next one.
God... I couldn't put song of fire and ice down.
Feast angered me with the lack of all my fave characters (Dany, Tyrion, hopefully someone on stannis's side of things). Did have Jamie (Now with flair).
I'm psyched about Dance though, I don't know if I'll go to school the week it comes out.
To address the long wait, I think I heard Martin was originally going to have the series set back by 5 years, and he wanted the release dates to affec that. We know that isn't true in story, so I'm not for sure.
It is a very good series, but I'm starting to wish he'd get on with it. He could have cut 2 full books if he would have just left out the intricate descriptions of the crest and lineage of the family from east Pakiraqiranistan with a seagreen emlem of a burnt orange dog crapping on a dandelion that never appears anywhere in any book ever again. Aside from that, I'd put it in the top 5 fantasy series, too.
