Grim, just think...one day you'll want to buy a house or a car and you'll be really thankful that your folks "made" you save all your money. I know it helped me out a lot.

I can remember burning like 200-250 a week drinking with the boys...don't get me wrong here, I had a freaking blast. Besides a bad liver (joking) what else do I have to show for it?

It sucks being out of high school and having to be responsible. Aw well we all have to grow up sooner or later.

Now I am on a budget of $10 a week (for coffees at work).

On another note...it's fire prevention week and we just had a fire drill at work...nice way to pass half an hour!

Plus if the account is joint, just go to the bank and withdraw some. It is your money.

I spend money with friends, pay my bills, etc and still save a good portion of my paycheque for school, and I'm only 18 =/

10 bucks a week wont even buy me coffees.

I try to limit myself to $20 a week, but it doesn't cut it most of the time. I can sometimes get money from my parents though, so it's not too bad. I think once I hit 18 in a couple months, they'll cut off the money. Or at least restrict it a lot more.

I had a summer job so that should last me the rest of the year, at least. I was originally hoping to have enough money to go on a trip next in a couple summers, but I doubt that's happening. Oh well. I don't have enough time to actually get a part-time job.
