My girlfriend, Molly, is probably the best thing that could of happened to me. I mean I have the greatest friends also that play and do the same things I like to do. We stay up untill the crack of dawn playing this game. Anyways, Molly, she's wonderful. She goes to school in the morning, then goes to work until about 11-12 at night. And everyday or moment she gets off she comes to spend it with me. I feel I under appreciate her at times because most of the time I am at my friends house, who she doesn't mind now but she used to hate, and I am playing Diablo like its no tomorrow. And she sits there watching me and trying to become more involved in it. "What's that? Is that good?" It is just so nice to have her let me do what I like to do and all she wants in return is to be with me. I love her. She hangs out with my friends, watches me play, and actually tries to get involved. She is actually on her way to my friends house, where I am currently, to watch me play. So, cheers to good women. Hope everyone finds one as I have. Peace.
I love my 1 year old daugter so much that no modern language can describe. So I have to use the most advance language of all, my daugther's language:
Ata, Errg, Ahhh, Ayee, EErrg, yah hey yah yah, argggg.
The above is actualy sound my daughter made as I type this. I should we all 3 prizes. lol
Going to get married in 4 months to the love of my lifeShe is the nicest most considerate girl in the world and everyone who knows me has said this in one way or another
We started seeing each other shortly after I bought this blasted game so she knows how addicted I am. After 3 years, I haven't heard a request for me to get away from the computer. The only request was to move the extra bed and tv into the computer room so she could be in the same room. Her philosophy being it's my release from crap that happens to everyone once in a while. Better than other vices.
Also, after losing a chance for my first torch due to the dreaded "lost connection" message, I was swearing up a storm about lousy b-net and lousy computer . She asked if we needed a new computer for me. Said it could be my wedding present since she got a wedding dress and other stuff for the wedding. Thought that was pretty funny. Alanna has even tried to learn about the game although I know it's not her thing. She thinks PKers are mean and should be banned lol. Anyway, this turned out quite long even while saying only a fraction of how precious I think she is.
This thread was a great idea and I thank you for the opportunity. Also let me use some not so common smileys lol.
Nice stuff guys! I read them all. Keep 'em coming!
Oh yeah and if you prefer to not let the entire world know about your little story, you can PM it to me. I've already received a few good, long ones!

Alright, I just have to post on this thread.
First some background. Unlike most gamers Im a woman. I had my first computer in 1988 when I was 5 years old and had Prodigy internet two years later. But I usually only played games like SimCity and never really got into rollplaying stuff.
I moved 400 miles away for college and initially ended up making friends with non gamers my first 2 years. But once I started a College Republican chapter on campus my venue of friends totally changed. Just before the fall semester before the 2004 elections, I was trying to come up with some recruiting ideas for my club. I used to be a season subscriber to the San Francisco Opera and was always looking to take people. So figured Id start a little contest whereby whoever attended the most volunteer events for September would win a "date" with me.
Well suddenly, this cocky guy I recognized from my Haz Mat class last semester was showing up to EVERYTHING... and of all things he was a registered Democrat. Well, you can guess he was more excited about a date with me than the GOP. Long story short, he made a very convincing boyfriend and we started dating. Not more than a month later we decided to move in together and its been a wonderful year and a half so far![]()
And of all people, it was MY BOYFRIEND that got me into playing Diablo! Its a cheap hobby and we play together serveral times a week. But because we've been dating awhile and co-habitate, its easy to get too comfortable with someone and take them for granted. There've been some nights when I hardly talk to my boyfriend because I'm too busy fiending on Diablo. I truly adore him and have the utmost respect for his philisophical intelligence and crude humor. I should acknowledge him everyday for being such a wonderful human being.... but its easy to get caught up in another countess run.
So Cass, this has been an awesome thread! You take care of your girl... its difficult to find someone as supporting as she is of your fiending habits and it honestly sounds like you're in love. Congrats to the two of you! I know what its like to be in such a wonderful relationship like yours.
Postscript: My boyfriend JUST read my post and gave me the BIGGEST kiss and said "Thank you for being such a loving fiend. I adore you."
lol I was just gonna PM you and ask you to donate some NL crap if a NL guy is among the winners!Originally Posted by De4dEyE

It's heartwarming to hear everyone's little stories, and for all of you who took some time off the game to remind yourself of the love of those who care about you, I really feel like going over and giving a big high five to all of ya!
Cass, check your PM's please
Dude, I read it before any of these. Just didn't reply. :wink3:Originally Posted by masterazn
My ex-girlfriend would have to be the one person I loved unconditionally. She was a great person for the most part. She looked over most of my faults and I believed she had none. There were many times when I neglected giving her the attention she deserved due to playing D2. I would sit up until the wee hours of the morning while she slept alone. As much as I love this game, I love her more. Still do even though she recently had a baby with her new husband. As I sit her thinking about the times I spent with her, and the times I spent playing D2 instead of talking with her, I strongly believe that my addiction to this damn game had a lot to do with our break up. I know I'm a loser for letting that happen, but I can't change the past.
HEATHER I STILL LOVE YOU!!!
