Summoner Fanatic question

I have never made a Necromancer before and I was looking to make a summoner.

The question that I have is this. Is it worth my summoner holding the Beast rune word and the level 9 Fanaticism which will increase the damage of my skellies, but will it increase their speed. I also have plenty of +skills equipment. Will this raise my level of fanaticism or is it set in stone.

Secondly will this stack with a nightmare ACT2 offensive merc.

I was thinking that I could have

20 each in raise skellies and increase there hardness.
Some points in Decrepify
20 points in corpse explosion.
1 point raise monsters
Rest of the points in carefully selected things


I am aware that most people think that the Summoner is the slowest killer in Hell, but I think that if I have some super charged skellies I can use corpse explosion to rip through huge chunks of monsters.

I would appreciate any feedback. But I have enough fcr and +skill equipment of offset using the beast rune word instead of a HoTo.

Well the fant aura is "set in stone" at lvl 9 and wont gain any added level. and it will stack with a merc. Read nightfishs or my guide for more info

You can't buffer the fanat aura as it permantly at slvl 9, if you have beast it a great weapon to use when you and your minions fight and i would use hoto to summon instead. If you get them powerful enougn at times it like a hot knife through butter with the aura and high slvl.

summoner necros are not the slowest killers.i can wipe through baal and his minions with no problems.take on diablo,and all the level 85 areas and beat the trio from hell.although that does take some doing:grin: summon your army with arm of king leoric then switch to beast.i can only have 15 skellies and 9 mages but we tear things up.

I just got my new beast commander to hell and he's just that: bestial. i didnt max mage with this guy so i was able to put some points in bone armor synergies, since i do a lot of melee. in fact, a lot of my setup is geared towards melee fighting, i.e. dr, ias, dual leech, etc., and i have always full health, even though my res suck bad (negative res lol). i normally prebuff with summon gear (aokl, shako, +3 summon ammy, homun, marrows) then i switch to my fighting stuff (beast, sanctuary, umed gaze, highlords and gores). i use bloodfist till im able to wear draculs. only curse i use is amp, (and maiden for dueling meleers). one point in CE makes life easier sometimes oh, I also maxed golem mastery, just can't live without my undestructible iron golem max block and enigma are awesome, now all I need is a cta...
