I'm making a tiger strike/dragon tail/phoenix striker sin.... I'm level 42 now and just got to nightmare. My problem is that already, mid game, I'm having problem hitting things...
Every guide I read, they say put enough dex so that you can equipe the claw because dex is a horrible way to get ar. I agree. I would rather put points into stength for kick damage or vitality for more life ! But be cause of this... my ar sucks ! At level 42, I have 79 dex, and using the following:
-spirit shroud (early game cannot be frozen + skill)
-angelic ammy and 2 angelic rings
-a rare +1 sin skill circlet
-rare demonhide boots with 30 frw and res
-string of ears
-3 ar grand charms totalling (250 ar)
I'm hiting things 80% of the time... but as night mare progress, I'll hit things less and less ... and thinking how I'll ever be able to hit anything in hell is getting me down ! I know about getting enchant charges from demond limb and the such... but what do I do until I can use demond limb at level 67 ??? and even if I do get enchant charges... I need AR in order for the x 250% ar mod to take into effect.... Am I stuck with using angelics forever ? or is there a better way of getting ar which will free my jewelery spots up so I can use raven frost, another cool ring and a cooler ammy ?
Please give any tips you can. Thank you !

hmmm, maybe not enough skill points into claw mastery if that's not the problem, 80% is pretty decent in NM for your level, you should have better AR progressing up when leveling, so right now its just early. Trade to upgrade to better gears in future like you can make runewords yourself in elite armors and/or shield like sanctuary once you've come across to a mal rune in hellforge or council or countess. Angelics would still be a good idea when you notice you can't hit things, its still a good thing to keep angelics, till you've come across to a nice rare sin ammy or highlords.
Get Ar charms with second mod like fhr, life or resists.

As your lvl becomes >= to monsters, you'll hit more. This tends to be the best way to handle AR problems. Just lvl a bit more and you'll find the AR penalty less of a problem.
For now, you can get enchant from Lava Gouts (ctc) or Todesfalle (charges) if you need it.

ITD! ITD! If you can, ignore defense. Also, CoS will lower opponents defense. That said, Lyrs summed it up best. Even if you are fighting with infinite AR, your chance to hit will be horrible if your opponent is a higher level than you.
