Lite sorc?

So I am thinking about keeping goin w/ my 86 meteorber and giving her full tals and stuff... but then I thought to myself... The good 'ol lite sorc is alotta fun too. But I know the problem with any single elemental build is all the immunes in hell... and I'm not rich enough for infinity so that rules that out right there lol. But would a lite sorc with a holy freeze insight merc work better than a meteorber? This sorc would be for pits and other areas and Baal. Any help would be appreciated

you could try a Light/Orb sorc , i have one in act 2 hell single player and she is doing great just don't have the time to play her alot :tough:

I have just kinda questioned the power of a CL/FO sorc... It seems that the lite side would be alot weaker than the fire side would be with a meteorber...

Not true, you can cast a buttload of lightnings/chain lightnings by the time one meteor hits the ground. As long as you have enough fcr you will be blazin :P

Yeah but what makes the meteorber so good really isnt meteor... it's actually FB. And FB comes out just as crazy as lite and cl. I guess i would want to see a damage calculator to figure this out...

But fireball doesn't arc a ton of times and kill everything in 1.5ish screens

Yeah but FB will do roughly 5k with tal's on... cl will do like 4-4k so an avg of 2k. So cl will have to happen 2.5x more than fb... but i guess it is between 11 targets so thats like 22k damage right? Making CL/FO better? And another question about the CL/FO sorc... How are they for doing Baal?

It can be done with good gear with one or two people in the game, but requires godly for a full game.

Yeah I was thinking about solo-ing baal and then in baal runs obviously everyone helps. So I could solo baal relatively easy with this sorc wearing like tal's set? and a merc with insight, leviathan, and tal's helm?

Meteorb is much better against bosses, while FO/CL does way better in chaos and against Lister.
