I don't know about 4-5, but will Resevoir Dogs, Kill Bill and Jackie Brown do as a reason to pay attention to his opinion.Originally Posted by Savage

I really like Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill was funOriginally Posted by Savage
seems like a good reason to see the film since Tarantino's tastes are pretty obvious, he probably snickered through the whole movie, and if knowing that appeals to someone, sounds like good cause to watch it
knowing that someone with similar taste in movies enjoyed a film is usually the best indicator whether I would like it
I agree. Tarantino is the most overrated director of all time. I hated Kill Bill by the way.Originally Posted by Savage

Well i recently saw an interview with the dierctor discussing the movie.
He said it was based on an internet site he found where you could pay $10,000 to go to Thailand and kill a person. He though this was increadabley disturbing but though that there was an interesting movie in it. So he wrote a script and tarantino read it and helped him find a distributor and a producer and such. And eventually took and Executive producer credit on the film.
It looks pretty interesting to me. That's why i'll be seeing it this weekend.
Even though I really like Tarantino movies (they aren't for everyone of course), and some of the ones he's put his Official Seal of Approval on, I don't like him doing that. It's kind of cheap.
directors have been doing this sort of thing for awhile though, trying to get films localized, distributed, etc. etc. and they put their name on it thinking it'll help, and it doesOriginally Posted by dondrei
I know it works, I still think it's shabby. I remember I had some old books with "ISAAC ASIMOV" in huge letters on the top and "approves of this book written by John Smith" in tiny letters down the bottom.Originally Posted by Ash Housewares
