I'm guessing... Season 3 is MY time?

If anyone remembers the "MF thread" at the start of the ladder season, I was stunned when I posted I had gotten my very first SoJ (in ladder, no other ). I don't remember if I posted this, but a week later, I found another one in a NM CS run when I was playing around with my nl Javazon. I later traded off the ladder SoJ for a few nl ones, which I sold and finally got my first Annihilus (11/13/8 IIRC). Well, I traded that off for Draculs and a Mal. (I still have the gloves; my kicksin is going to use them when she hits level 76 - I hope she can do better than my smiter for ubers)

So I go along, privately running myself in a Baal run. Nothing too hard, just some OKs and blowgun shooting midgets (MAN, I love my Fortitude kicking off on them and blasting icebolt after icebolt after icebolt in mass numbers at my enemies, although it does mean I may shatter them at one time, but I don't care), then I come across this group of OKs and Storm Casters and midgets. Having prepared myself with traps up ahead and weakening them, I charged ahead like always.

*noise, is that Iron Mai-AARGH* I'm in the middle of a kick when I get IM'd and die.

Poof, that's the ballgame, eh? Nah. I call up my SW(I only have one point in her; I may start investing in Master after I max Death Sentry) and prebuff (I don't have ANY +skills(ok, NOW I do, but that was before... crap.), and walk back into my Town Portal, and run back to where I died.

I set up some traps, and hit Alt for some reason... Wtf? A gold ring? My SW dies; I recast her and Mindblast the whole group a few times, still itemless. I picked up the ring and ran like hell back out of the main melee, with no SW (again). I walk back into town, and cast Identify, only to find... (I'm SURE you know what this was going to be already, since you had so many clues to it in the story.

Only to find... this.

Finally. And after all those 5 NM Andariel runs I made. Oh yeah, my Kicksin has basically 0 MF. She's not really that well-equipped either, since my friend stole my IK boots (but I found some normal Wyrmhide Boots right afterwards, so ). She's got a Fortitude, Guillaume's Face, Angelic Amulet/1x Ring, 3% dual leech ring (nothing better YET), Oath Scourge (for pesky Phys Immunes and the speed o_O), Wyrmhide Boots (I wish I had an extra Imbue for it... anyone want to give me theirs? ), Trang-Oul Gloves, T-God's, and a Steelclash. I want a Tiamat's Rebuke SO badly- it's my favorite shield. And it would help if I could get a better weapon other than an Eternity for later- I want a Stormlash for later, but then again, I could use Gore Riders too.

Well, any questions, comments, anything?

Edit: My friend just gave me his Gerke's Sanctuary for my Steelclash, even though he's like level 72 or something. I just asked, and he gave it to me. Like I couldn't hvae gotten it myself; we're on the same account.

Just goes to show you that awesome finds happens at the most unexpected of times. Congrats.

Side note-your friend stole your IK boots? That's pretty sad.

It's not too bad- I let him have them since I found some better boots. Since we share the same accounts, he can take them as he wishes, and I can get them back in the same way. He DID give me the Treks I had found a lot earlier in the season, that I had given to his paladin. (and I just hit level 64, and I now do 1100 physical damage. I wonder what I'm going to do with Myrmidon Greaves. o_O) He's building a Kicksin as well- that's why he took them. (at least he switched them with the Natalya boots I had found earlier, and not just taken everything all off)
On a side note, I just turned Baal into pulp in under 25 seconds.
