    Stupid titanium

How come titanium can't be resized? Anakha just got his wedding ring. Yeah we got it online which was our mistake but it was cheaper than buying it through the retail stores. It's a gorgeous titanium band and we sized his finger at a 13.5 which is accurate according to the ring sizer but for some reason the ring we got is SUPER huge and doesn't fit. According to another ring sizer the ring is accurate. Regardless, we don't want to have to buy another ring for him because this one is soo nice but apparently you can't size titanium down only up. This is a bugger!

Is there any way that you could get it exchanged (same ring smaller size)? That's the only viable option that I see. Just curious which site did you get it from?

Definatly something to be said for the traditional "over the counter" method of doing business.

    Titanium?

We are trying to see if we can exchange it. We are in contact with the seller now....yeah we went through ebay.ca and I believe the seller was Ashleys. According to the feedback this particular seller has been known to ship wrong sizes and they do have an exchange policy but their shipping times suck. It would be easier just to get the damn ring sized or just sell and get a new one. Blast!

Did you save enough to buy it twice?

Maybe that is why the jeweller with the actual storefront gets the big bucks. He has to face his customers.

Eerie. I read the thread title, and knew it was going to be a problem with the wedding band. Did you use the ring sizer on the ring to try and figure out what size they shipped to you?

Considering we paid $5USD for it....I am pretty sure we can afford to actually go to a store and get one but we were trying to go this route because we are being super frugal with our money since we are paying for the wedding all by ourselves on top of all of our other daily expenses.

    Heh, OK then.

Hopefully someday you guys will be able to afford something a lot nicer. The idea behind what you are doing is more important than the ring or the party.

    Best wishes to you both.

Titanium rings are gorgeous. I like them a lot better than the gold bands we looked at. Don't get me wrong we aren't trying to be cheap. It just so happened we won the auction at that price. The ring is appraised at $300.
