How does this build do for mfing outside a standard Trapassin. I like the idea of a dancer much more than pure traps, but wouldn't know how to keep my MF up, and my kill speed there as well.
Any recommended setups for that?
Outside the standard trapsin setup, this one can destroy bosses, where trappers tend to have a hard time with them (unless one has conviction and some other nasties).
There are basically two routes to go (imo). One is to have a 0 MF setup and collect socketables as you blast through high level areas and collect keys. The other is to use multiple high-end runewords that have MF on top of the mods you already want.
(hi, btw)
Hi ilkori. Miss you btw, and all of you (end of inside info stuff)
I don't have access to any high end runewords, or have any interest in tiems that require high runes.
Would it be possible to say substittute armor for like a Skullers, and add ptopaz to my Guillaume's. Was also thinking about burning my ist in a ali baba and using that on switch for boss kills with a rhyme.
Just wanna know how it kills my chances of destroying stuff, since i've got plenty of stats allowing me to customize to what i want, but i've already skilled myself towards a kicker, with a maxed talon and only DS and LS maxed with 6 in fireblast, and the rest put through shadows.
I think for a MF kicker you should really just look to achieve the minimum build goals (50% CB, 9/3 kicks, elite boots) and substitute whatever you can with MF gear.
Now with a Guillaume's and upped gores you are already at 50% CB and believe it or not, a shaelled Gull dagger (Gull dagger shouldn't be that expensive I suppose) reaches 9/3 kicks without BoS. Add rhyme, topazed skullders and topazed Guillaume's you reach 250+% MF. Without resorting to a gear switch. And now you still have belt, gloves and jewelry open.
If you don't have upped Gores yet, I think getting one is a better investment of your Ist than socketing it in your gear and you should still keep some change afterwards.

Who trades? I gave up trading when a pair of 32 mf war travs poofed from my bowazon.
Guide looks detailed, fun, and I have most of the end game gear.... so I'm leveling my first sin and would like to make this character <I can't seem to find that leveling guide ;-) >.
I'm currently at clvl 19 with only points in Str/Dex and no skill points spent yet. I'm using the Arctic set along with a couple other partial set items to help me through the lower stages. I play SP PVM w/players8 till Hell.
My plan is to make a light(flash?)dancer.
It seems most people posting on this thread use kicks or traps exclusively... has there been much success following this guide using both skill sets?
I used to do a lot of pvmin for fun back in my pvmer days on east using a kick/trap assassin using no mf other than enigma and Ive found quite a bit of goodies along the way. As well as keyrunning and such.
Thing is.. if you are plowing through whole areas at the speed that kick/trappers do you are bound to see some drops of interest along the way. You will see more drops because of how much gets killed. Having excessive mf% is only good for uniques/rares
...then again when I was playing my kick/trap sin I already had an endgame setup equipped so I was obviously pvming for fun and not mfing for anything particular or trying to gain wealth in any way <.<
This is by far my favorite build. I definitely use traps + kicks at the same time for maximum carnage. Throw down 4 LS + 1 DS, then wade right in and start kicking. I'll throw a CoS if there are lots of ranged attackers or if the mob is especially big. I like forgoing some of the extra skills so I can max out my lightning traps. I'll skip Venom and blade shield (leaving out blade tree entirely), and try not to put too many points into the Shadow Master. On my current build, I put maybe two or three more points into my Master than I really needed, so I'll probably start over again soon. It shouldn't be too hard to pass 10K max LS damage and still have everything I need to tank with DTalon.
Great news, thanks improvius.
I'd like to put a bit more emphasis into the lightning trap section as you did.
