    dont know if its been suggested but I really would like to see diffrent looks for the mercs, for example if you give them a cloth armor they should have more than one kind of a look, if you give them a leather armor another look and so forth kind of like what the player chars look when changing the clothing (arnt you tired of seeing your act V merc in a loin cloth and nothing more when he is wareing a hellforge plate?) and also include the item coloring... like if you give a milabrega armor to a merc his armor should be blue...

    also I would like to see more combat styles for the mercs for example the act 2 marcs that just use jab should be able to also make a slash and butt thrust thrust attack with the weapon... after all its a spear that they wield (personaly I practice Kenjutsu and would never use a yari with just a jab attack) also the act V mercs just do a downward slash... but why waste a upward thrust in real life or a side sweep? maybe a bow slash or a kick to fend off close attackers for the rouge merc and maybe a shield slap for the iron wolves mercs... just a few thoughts

    also why not have a necro merc? no he could not rez but he could cast curses and spells (and could be like the act 2 mercs) like amp damage (offensive), life tap (combat), dim vision (defensive) and then in nightmare it could be: poison nova (offensive), teeth (combat), bone wall/prison (defensive) and then in hell it could be: lower resistance (offensive), iron maiden (combat), decreptify (defensive)... also this merc could use a melee attack (as not to be compleatly useless when swarmed like the iron wolves) that could have maybe like 25% chance to cast poison dagger thus forcing a dagger only merc and alow the merc to use any kind of shield (except paladin shields) including the necro heads that they use as shields

    After much thought and anticipation, I have a new suggestion!

    - Allow players to create a seperate realm/game or channel that is specifically for trading.

    I was thinking, if they can create a new quest using River of Flame, Tower Cellar, Canyon of the Magi peices, why not create like another Lut Gholein and allow people to utilize buildings there for shops and what not.
    This idea came to me as I was looking at all the Hell Mode games and realized that 90% of them were, my leet 4 your runez, your basic trading games.

    Maybe this is asking too much right now, but they should definatley think about implementing some kind of user based, trade specific engines or add-ons to Diablo 3.

    Hey blizzard if you want ideas for trade alternatives, im your girl!
    Im literally bursting with ideas on how to make trading a more organized environment for all players.

    Actually, the Furnace of Pain is probably closer to Abaddon/Pit of Acheron/Infernal Pit that are found in Act 5, through those red portals you see while walking up places like the Arreat Plateau, etc

    Dude yes! Change the mercs a bunch. It was like Blizzard made a "last minute" attempt to pump up the game by adding them. We should have a merc necro, that would be tizite. Also, cool runewords! that would make my day

    Oh, and a cool wert leg runeword would be cool. Like when you find it 3 socketed, put like, 3 runes in, and it will be pimp! Give it unique stuff, like "lower vendor prices" and "increase exp". But shouldn't be mad powerful, just fun in the beginning. Maybe even a 1 of a kind mod that gives you a charge to "Ressurect Merc Free (1/1) (ethereal)" that if people don't have money, they just do a couple runs in trist, and get a leg, then do some catacombs runs, get the stupid runes, use the charge on there merc. That would do wonders. And there should be a cool 5-6 socket runeword were it uses like, 5-6 el runes, and it is pretty sweet too, like, "1 to all skills". Sweet like, good for those people in norm.

    i'll try and check this more often, seeing how i kinda started this, lol, really good ideas I see you guys coming up with :clap:

    Does that mean Über Izual is your reward as opposed to the usual golden chest that spews tons of crud out? :lol:

    I just dropped by to say that giving mercs improved fundamentality would be a great asset. Give them shifting variations of armor, and weapons, just like the heroes who hired them. Also, give them a freaking "at ease" standing animation. They're always hostile, even in town... Also, I'd like to be able to hire the double weapon Barbarians you see running around in Act V! Good grief, give them Double Swing and Frenzy, at least try to make them useful! :rolleyes:

    Also, Act III mercs could use a good boosting. For the mages, give them more powerful spells. A lightning merc should have Lightning and Chain Lightning as opposed to Charged Bolt and Lightning. Cold could use Frozen Orb and Shiver Armor (or the strongest variant) along with Glacial Spike. Fire could scrap Inferno altogether and maybe (just maybe) cast Hydra against enemies... or even Enchant you! Imagine the power those suckers would have with these new spell setups... It really would be like hiring a Sorceress. ^^

    That's all for now. This is quite a long thread, so I'm counting the days until it finally outstays its welcome, leaving us a little wiser... or sillier in some cases. ;D

    Cheesey or not, i think this idea is cool

    For a quest, you have to fight a mirror you. I remember before the 1.10 days, there were rumors copies of yourself would run around in hell, and if you kill him, you get cool stuff, yadda yadda. I think in act 4, you enter a ring, then it is on fire, and you are stuck in it, untill either you, or your copy are dead. I think it would be fun to overpower yourself through crappy ai. ha, and if you win, + skills thanks to buds in town. Always fun to get those plus skills!
