Pure Fire sorc: Please help

I want to make a pure Fire sorc, no dual elements here. I will be using it mainly for PvP, but will do some rushing as well.

20 Fire bolt
20 Fire ball
20 Meteor
20 Fire Mastery
-what should I put the remainder of my puts into? I will be getting the 1 point wonders like Warmth, Static Field, Teleport, and Shiver Armor. But that still leaves me with a ton of points to spend, and I have no idea where they should be spent.

Equipment... I am completely lost on the equipment. I think I have a general idea of what to use, but can someone give me the dream fire sorc gear set up? (assume I have unlimited wealth, which I don't, but assume anyways)

What about a merc? What kind of merc should I use? Equipment for merc?

how about hidra?
you could cast a few of them to help your merc or cast em on an open door and they'll spit at anything in that room before you and your merc can get in to join the party.... or fire wall to cook what your merc is stabbing...

there's nothing you really need to spend the rest of the points on if you maxed all teh fire synegies. usually fire sorc ppl put the rest of the points to either shiver armr (for better def), warmth or thunder strom with 1 pt to light mastery (helps out against fire immunes and sometiems in duels too)
