Gona Start A new Paladin any suggestions.

Yo

I am gona start a new one. What do you guys think I should do to completed at least once HELL DIF.( pls dont tell me Hammerdin and Celtic) I like a melee Paladin. SO........

Melee? Try a zealot. An avenger is also good and you don't have to worry much about immunes.

Zealot i know you have to use Zeal but what else you know wher can i find a guide to it?

And Avanger whats that, you know wher i can find a guide?

Zealot -
20 Zeal (main attack - have on left click)
20 Fanaticism (main aura - have on right click)
20 Sacrifice (synergy for Zeal)
20 Holy Shield (gives awesome defense bonus and lets you put more points into vitality instead of dex to reach max block)

Enough strength and dex for your equipment, and rest into vitality. You don't need any points in energy, as zeal only costs 2 mana and with a little mana leach, you'll never need mana pots either.)

I'd also recommend putting 1 point in Salvation, Redemption, and Vigor. They're all invaluable to any paladin build and only need 1 point to be beneficial.

You can find Cyrus's Zealot guide in the guide list (sticky at top of Paladin Forums). Gives you alot of alternatives on equipment, and explains the skills better.

20 points in HS doesn't only give you better defence and block. It increases your smite damage to a useable lvl. You will be amazed at how that 1 point smite can do with the right kind of equipment (and those "right" equips are usually not that expensive neither). :lol:

Avenger is vengance using pally.

A Zealot is the pali that you always see running into battle, getting surrounded and still coming out on top--he's the one that hits 5 times per second and you'll need these things:

IAS weapon... you want to be swinging pretty fast... I'd use some angelic ring/ammy and a raven for the other ring...

armor is pretty much up to you, but I prefer COH... HoZ is pretty much THE Zealot shield... no need for Exile--PERIOD.

I like either shako or Vampire gaze for a helm...

weapon is up to you, but fast and DMG are things I would take into consideration... also preferably has life/mana leech.

charms are pretty much a waste for a Zealot, IMO... mainy lifers and whatnot...

socket helm and shield with UM, and if you have COH, UM HoZ and UM helm, you'll have maxed res in hell with Anya Quests.

left click kills things, right click is for nothing... always have fanata on, and kill stuff. simple, right?

You guys say uniques and set items as if they are pizzas. They are not easy to get mates.

Many set/unique items are easy to get, either from MFing or trading using PGems.

Ok then... for a zealot, no sets or uniwques

in order of need:

cannot be frozen
attack speed
attack rating
damage

sound about right?

max your resists, enough str to weild weapons, enough dex for max block with whatever shield you can get...

rest into vita
