Hi all,
I see people on the trading forums offering shakos alot. Are they refering to something other than the Elite cap? If it is just the elite cap I get those all the time magic ones and socketed ones. What is the big deal, if any?
When people are talking about shakos in the trading forums and trading channels they're talking about the harlequin crest, the unique shako. People just use shako as a nickname for the item.
They're refering to the unique Shako, Harlequin Crest-
Defense: 98-141 (varies)
Required Level: 62
Required Strength: 50
Durability: 12
+2 To All Skills
+ (1.5 Per Character Level) 1-148 To Life (Based On Character Level)
+ (1.5 Per Character Level) 1-148 To Mana (Based On Character Level)
Damage Reduced By 10%
50% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items
+2 To All Attributes
Although, if enough people offer just plain normal shakos in responce to people asking for a shako maybe we can train everyone out of calling it such an irritating name. Why not Harle or something?
Shako sounds much cooler
I guess the term comes from the initial release (1.07) of the expansion. The Blizzard management had the incredibly clever idea to release it a few weeks before the developers completed 1.08. In 1.07, only a handful of elite uniques could be dropped by monsters (chests could drop all the rest, except for a few because of a bug). The Harlequin Crest was among them.
