    Expired characters question

Can you make that character's name as soon as it expires? Or does it stay until you delete the character itself?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the name will remain "taken" by the expired character for a certain amount of days (weeks?) after the character is expired (though I'm pretty confident it's not forever). Several times, I've had expired characters that I've been unable to remake on a separate account until I actually deleted them.

95% of the time I'm right, so why worry about the other 2%?

Hmm, no, the name frees up at some point after the char is expired, but not yet deleted. I don't know when exactly the name frees up, but I can make a new char of the same name as an expired one that I have. It's been expired for probably a month.
